demon feathers early

As i like to unlock items early in the game and as i found nothing on the internet about farming demon feathers on galkimaseras in the garamsythe waterway, i decided to create this thread so others might not struglle as i did everytime i wanted to get to these monsters.

For this operation you'll need the key that you'll get from the mog Sorbet who gave you the hunt quest " the white mousse".
You'll also need to have unlocked the Barheim passage in order to enter the waterwayway from the entrance right next to zalera's chamber.

With this key you get from sorbet you can either block or let the water flow in every garamsythe waterway section.

What brought me trouble here is that my game seemed to have reset what i had opened or closed at the sluice gate in the garamsythe waterway. So when i travelled all the way from the barheim passage (by killing zalera at the same time) to the waterway channel that normally spawns the galkimaseras, the water was not flowing in the area although i had opened the appropriate gate before.
i don't know if it's because i should have beaten zalera before or it's simply how the game is programed to not save your actions once you exit it. Anyways, everything i did at the sluice gate had been reset apparently.

So what you have to do:

when you enter the area of the sluice gate mechanism in the garamsythe waterway,

- the first pedestal on your right should be off (the water flows in the channel 10) meaning there is no light on the pedestal
-and the pedestal on your left must be on ( no water flows in the channel 11) meaning there is some light at the top of the pedestal

don't save on the crystal nearby (don't think it plays a role but as i am not sure...)

Exit the waterways and teleport yourself to the barheim passage.

Now head to zalera 's chamber (with tons of skeletons and bombs on your way there) and after zalera's chamber you use the entrance from barheim to the waterway.
keep going straight forwards until you reach the chanel 10 where you should meet 2 ghosts, 3 galkimaseras and possibly 1 water elemental (this one should come later on though).

then you're good to farm the 3 demons there with steals and a max lvl chain to get your 6 demon feather in something around 30 min 1h30 depending on your luck.
just use the little corridor with the saving crystal to do the zoning in order to make the demons respawn.

do all of that without quiting the game before arriving to the waterway channel 10, and you should not struggle as i did in several playthroughs.

with these items you can unlock the second best staff of the game for your black mage in the bazar ( staff of the clouds in english i think, which can increase your water elemental spells power from 50 % if i'm not mistaken) + the Ivory pole (a pretty good pole for your monk)

staff of the cloud: quality lumbers x 4 + demon feathers x 6 + storm crystal x 7

Ivory pole: blood darkened bones x 8 + demon fearhers x 6 + wind crystal x 7

-staff of the clouds: attack 49 - evasion/ block 8 - magic 7 - speed 3

-ivory pole: attack 83 - evasion/ block 30



Availibility in the story line: bur omisace for the staff of the clouds
right after raithwall tomb for the ivory pole (so this one is really early)
