Embroidered tippets?

Searching online I seem to find stuff from the original game saying you can buy embroidered tippets (the double exp accessory), but I haven't come across them so far (in Archades now). Anyone know for sure?

Also, I found conflicting reports on whether you can still steal embroidered tippets from coerls, or if it has to be poach. Anyone know that?

It involves setting up gambits correctly to take care of dividing mobs at the right rate, or ones that summon other mobs. The two most well known ones from the original release are the Jellies in Henne Mines, and Negalumur in Stillshrine of Mirim, as they are the easier ones to set up. There are a couple of other spots one could do something like this, but those two are the most reliable, and don't have other things that will interupt.

Activate the switch at [Pithead Junction C] About 10 Abysteels appear.
recomended Gambit

• Foe: Nearest Visable - Sleepga
  
• Foe: Status = sleep - Curaja

Change the switch back to Red and run back through [Phase Shaft 2] to [Crosshead C] and return.
You can earn over 1,000,000 gil and EXP per hour and more with decent equipment.

Abysteel = 20,000 HP.
Drops level 4 - Demon Shield.
Exp each - 9,134 - 9,334.

It might be better, but the Jellies and Negalumur allow you to AFK level with the correct setups. Not like its really needed though, as if you do any bit of farming, things get easy quickly especially on repeat playthroughs.

It is a one-time only treasure. If you go back the treasure chest will either be gone, or it'll be there but just have Gil or something.

Exactly. It requires no interaction with the game when you face off against the jellies, and you can have this run while you're asleep.

For late game you can also do afk leveling inside the Necrohol of Nabudis, but that requires more gambit planning.
