The last esper in particular's pretty much qualified to be a superboss imo. (he may lack the massive HP count that superbosses tend to have, but he more than makes up for that with his attacks)
Ultima is more annoying to reach than anything else. Same for Chaos tho he packs a more of a punch.
Zodiark... In the original i obliterated him at level 55 within 3 minutes without a quickening chain. I cannot wait to see how will it go this time.
Only Zodiark is even remotely difficult, though I suppose people can struggle with Chaos if they don't know what to do. Ultima is a major pain to get to, but just keels over like nothing to the right setup because of her elemental weakness. All the others are easily defeated even before you are lvl 30.
the problem is that they were developed for fighting against "all around" team from the original version, no amount of value tweaking can change that
Oh I actually thought 3 x2 Hp Belts would do the trick.... Mmmm...maybe not :D
You need the sluice gate key from the White Mousse hunt.
1. Light up No. 3 and No. 10
2. Move into No. 10 Channel and then into No. 3 Cloaca Spur. At the end of it, there's a switch for No. 1 South Waterway. Activate it, and go back to the control room.
3. Turn off No. 3 and No. 10, and light up No. 4 and No. 11
4. Move into No. 11 Channel and then into No. 4 Cloaca Spur. At the end of it, there's a switch for No. 1 North Waterway. Activate it, and go back to the control room.
5. Have No. 10 and No. 11 deactivated, and No. 3 and No. 4 lit up
6. Move straight south into the No. 1 Cloaca, the boss is fought in the room down the end there.
The extra adds that spawn with the boss can be fought again in the same place after it's defeated, if you so wish (they drop Silver Liquid and have Sagittarius Gems to steal, both of which are used in high-end recipes).
Use Espers, put a bubble on the user of the esper and you can keep hitting the Cuchulainn without much worry. Your esper will keep healing you.
Chaos battle disable auto attack and you have to rely on magicks. Hopefully you have more than 1 dps mage to make the fight go faster. His sidekicks silences u too.
Ultima has aoe heavy burst holy damage that can wipe out your whole team if you dont have the right gears or if you did not overgrind your levels. She also alternates among HP sap, MP sap, no attack,no magic, no item, magnetic field etc
Lastly Zodiark can be pain in the ass but i'll just let you figure out how the last one yourself.
Got nothing to defend against Holyja.
i've got 0 Phoenix downs.
i then burn my reserve characters with revive technick.
I may have to turn around and come back later
