All my Denuvo games have never caused any issues. By all i mean FF XII and Tales of Berseria (unless i have some Denuvo games and do not know it)
It's funny that fanboys always attack newer FFs for being different from their beloved FF title, considering Final Fantasies have always been about change and doing something different, rather than producing the same game twice. Constantly trying to shove their view about FF(number) being the worst FF ever down everyone's throats, and shaming everyone who likes their hated FF title, these people are just as annoying as religious fanatics.
I started with FFVII, and the hate trend has been going on for the last 20 years, if not longer. FFVI fans called FFVII a massive failure, a game with ugly graphics, and after the masterpiece known as FFVI, they got the worst FF ever. When FFVIII came out, it was criticised for abandoning everything good in FFs, with the most emo main character ever, and it was the worst FF ever. When FFIX came out, it was criticised for being so cartoony and childish, and "after great games like FFVII and FFVIII", Square brought us the worst game ever. I really liked FFIX when it came out, and I was constantly defending the game on an endless string of topics where people kept bashing the game as the worst FF ever, using exactly the same arguments as today: too linear, too easy, bad battle system, you can win by holding the attack button, the card game is crap compared to FFVIII's card game, weak story, worst characters ever (with reasonings like "Zidane is a g** monkey", and "Kuja is a crossdresser"), Square has lost it and can't make good games anymore.
But that's not where the hate ends. FFX came out, and it was criticized for abandoning everything good in FFs, such as world map and ATB system, and being too linear, having bad voice acting, and the whiniest main character ever. Oh, and Blitzball was considered crap compared to FFIX's card game. FFs just can't get any worse, right? Wrong! Then came FFX-2, which brought back ATB, job system and non-linear gameplay, and it became THE worst FF ever, for having a weak story, and scantily clad women, which is just embarrassing after FFX's much more mature way of zooming the camera at Lulu's breasts and Rikku's butt. I won't talk about the MMORPG titles, but FFXII was criticized for having a weak story and lots of useless and underdeveloped characters due to its open and non-linear design, and "FFX was the last good FF", Square Enix has ruined the series, Square should have never merged with Enix!
Then came FFXIII, which became the next worst FF ever. Too linear, terrible and overly annoying characters, battle system where you win by holding the attack button, weak story, this game is utter garbage. Now where have we heard this before? Then came FFXIII-2, which fixed the linear gameplay style and many weaknesses of the original battle system. Weak story, the characters suck because they don't have any annoying flaws, too easy, this game is an abomination. To conclude the trilogy came LR, and what do we hear? Weak story because the game is open and non-linear, terrible and overly annoying characters, lousy action-based battle system which sucks because you can no longer win by holding the attack button, this game is another abomination. I haven't played FFXV, but people seem to whine about it being open and non-linear, and having a bad story.
In other words, every FF since VII has sucked according to the fans. Probably even the FFs before that too, I just wasn't familiar with the series back then. Considering all this, I'm quite sure what the worst FF ever is. It's "Final Fantasy fanboys". It's not Square Enix that has ruined the franchise, it's the fanboys. They're the most venomous and cancerous thing to the series. Worst fans ever.
My list (probably very unpopular)
8 > 9 > 10 > 13-2 > XIV > 7 > 12 > 13 > 13-3 > 11 > 15 (of the main series i have played)
i am a sucker for time travel so 13-2 rates higher for me then most people.
Not to mention tri-Ace developed 13-2 and it showed that the old writers had no idea what they were doing. It wasn't that the 13 trilogy had bad writing, but you know what they say about monkeys and typewriters.
same , i also like the whole time travel , its just sad 13-2 is so short ( probably because the consoles couldnt handle more content on their small discs
You could also put original 13 up there for being a 20 hour tutorial but Lightning Returns and 13-2 are better games just in general.
true ending ? you mean Caius' Speech after getting 100% ?
No they are not, good luck trolling tho.
The music in 13-2 was fantastic (imo) i love vocal songs to grind/explore (ala Persona 3 4 5)
Did not get too far in 11, went from WoW to FF XI...the gameplay was just so slow.
