Not UNIQUE loot (since they're a one-time thing so it would suck to miss out) but certainly some very worthwhile items.
They can be a preferred source of some items because they are either available earlier, easier to fight, or the item is easier to obtain by stealing from a mark (e.g. because of a very rare drop from other sources).
However, this is probably the exception rather than the rule, and often it's fairly irrelevant past a certain point in the game.
Examples:
You can steal Wyvern Wings from the Wyvern Lord mark, giving you access to Arcturus (the third-best gun in the game) before Raithwall's Tomb; however, if you wait just a bit longer, you can also get it much more easily from a special enemy in the Ozmone Plains (100% steal vs. 3% steal on the mark). It just requires more story progression.
However, the reverse can also be true. Emperor Scale is required for the best gun in the game (Mithuna) and the earliest source of that is Archaeoaevis in the Zertinan Caverns - unfortunately, that mob is extremely difficult to defeat and can be anything from lvl 50 to lvl 99 despite being available when you're normally about lvl 25 or so. Even at high levels they're super annoying to fight - BUT there is a mark, Deathgaze, available after Pharos that you can steal the item from, making it much less of a hassle to get. You just have to wait a whole lot longer for it to become available.
