Anyone else dealing with sped up cutscenes?
For some reason whenever I play the game the cutscenes are moving so fast that the dialogue overlapses and don't even go with their mouths. The game is also sped up not just cutscenes. I tried hitting F1 to go back to regular speed thinking I hit the double speed option but it didn't help at all

Have you tried setting it via the Game Settings in Config? If that doesn't work, try replacing your GameSettings.ini (LOCATION: C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE\xxxx) content with this:

and tell me if it fixes it. If it fixes it, you can adjust whatever other settings you want within the game later. :)

Having the same issue. What I don't get is it just started. An hour ago when I was playing it wasn't doing this.

I can't even turn off v-sync without the game crashing. Everything is sped up, from the cut scenes to the gameplay. I've already tried turning the refresh rate of my monitor down from 144hz to 60hz and the game still won't work properly. Hope there's a fix soon.

If it crashes for you when trying to change the settings, you may have to do it via the ini file.

Thanks guys, changing the setting to windowed mode did the trick. I didn't even have to change my refresh rate anymore.

This worked for me, thanks so much.
Had something like this happen with an RTX 5070 card. When I went into the game. It came up with the fps at the max refresh of my monitor. (144hz). I tried a lot of the graphics options. Changing it to 30 refresh put it at 30 fps, but changing it back went back to 144hz. when trying to turn off the vsync while in the game caused it to freeze. I had to turn using the setup menu before runing the game to turn of vsync. When I changed to 60 refresh it only went to 60fps and didn't do the speed up. I've never encountered this on any nvidia card before this RTX 5070. I was very surprised. I don't know if there was any cutscene problem, Since I didn't play until I got to one, so I don't know if turning off vsync will still fix it with an RTX 5000 series card. I think it likely will.

My solution:

1. Click gear(settings) on ff12 steam library page.
2. Click properties.
3. In launch options click drop down menu and launch with configuration tool.
4. Play Game.
5. Configuration tool will pop make sure turn V-sync off. Make any other changes you want. My preferences are fullscreen mode 60fps.
6.CLICK APPLY before confirming.
7. Game will fail to launch.
8. click settings and change launch option back to play ff12.
9. click and voila
Game will launch with V synch off!
