Can't enter fullscreen
I'm playing this on 4k monitor, but I usually go 1080p fullscreen on new games like this, for better performance. This game doesn't work on full screen (I tried to select it in settings, but it goes to borderless or windowed right after I change to full-screen). Borderless window only works on 4k and is laggy. My specs (laptop): GTX960m/Integrated intel and 4k monitor

it might work by setting it to borderless in the game as well but since its working at this point i'm too afraid to mess with it! try that out for yourself. it also might be worth mentioning that in the nvidia control panel i have it set to scale on the gpu and in aspect ratio.

edit: okay yeah, setting it to borderless in game seems to work fine too. finally running at 1920x1080!

i'm having the exact same issue and i'm so happy i'm not the only one cuz i've been looking for solutions everywhere. the game won't let me choose any other resolutions besides 4k, and the only way i can select 1080p is if i set the frame limiter to 30 fps rather than 60.

putting it in windowed mode 1080p and using borderless fullscreen to stretch it sets the resolution back to 4k by itself

edit: specs are gtx 980, i7 4790k, windows 10, 16GB ram

My current solution to this is changing windows resolution to 1080p, and running borderless window. I hope they will fix this soon, as settings are messy, changing resolutions would sometime just crash the game, giving runtime errors. Feels like playing a beta version of indie developers game.

that's been my solution too, yeah. the first time i ran the game, when i tried to set it to 1080p my entire computer locked up and i had to hard reset.

I keep getting this just after I have started a new game.
"Microsoft VisualC++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way.
Please contact the application's support teamfor more information."

I have gotten to the Nomad Camp in Giza Plains just after I teamed up with Penelo and I keep crashing when I select licences from the menu. I even get the same crash when i load a later save after I just otained the Dawn Shard. It was working fine 2 days ago and only change to my system was installation of Cheat Engne and VLC 3.0 and a graphics driver updatefor Geforce Experience for GTX10 Series GPU

If you can start a new game and not have a problem (without running Cheat Engine) then I'd say you found your culprit.

I had the same problem (my laptop also has a 4k screen set to 1920x1080 in windows settings) but I have a fix that worked for me. I learned this from another game, but if you go into the GameSetting.ini file in C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE\76561198112725249 and change ScreenMode=SM_WINDOW to SM_FULL, it should start in full screen. You'll probably have to change the file's properties to "Read only" for it to work. I also had to change all the graphics settings back to where i wanted them when i started up the game, but im unsure if that's caused by the recent update or not. Hope this works for you.

I was able to solve the full screen problem in FFXII with this:
