It's odd you can't change jobs.

The job system somewhat similar to Final Fantasy V and FF Tactics where you could change jobs on the fly... the locked in thing is a bit rough. Even if you had to lose all your license points it would be nice to be able to change.

Their were many reason I think for this, the creator of the game I think even said it was to sorta reflect real life in that you can't just change things around mid stream you have to make a choice and follow threw with it or something like that I think. Game play wise it also keeps you from being able to just cheese any fight by just changing everyone to the right combo to cheese your way threw it on a whim.

The reason for this is so that any choices you make is permanent and will mean something to your party, for example Im trying to make them all get jobs that are fit for their character and not their stats, i understand that Fran is bad as an archar or Balthier is not the best machinist but damet i want this to be Canon party

Having to make choices can actually be fun. Otherwise what's the point of having a job system in the first place?

Before, things were really clear-cut. Now, there's a ton of options with various upsides and downsides that are anything but obvious in their relative power. That's GREAT!
