About the invisible weapons/shield
Has anyone tried the RNG manipulation method yet?
Does it work with the Seitengrat bow or Gendarme on PC?

Nobody has figured out how the RNG in the PC release works yet.

the same; it' a port
The game being a port doesn't imply that the RNG hasn't been changed. People have already tried manipulating it in the PC release, but haven't had any success.

And how is that related to the topic?

I tried getting the Gendarme and the console RNG method doesn't work.

do we even need RNG manipulation on PC? i mean we get cheat engines

On consoles RNG is usually set (Expecially on older offline consoles) because there's not many ways to generate random numbers, so it's done through in game actions.

On PC, RNG is generated from your system clock so it's impossible to manipulate. (Unless they purposely ported that system over from consoles, which would be odd to do)

The first part is not true. There were always pretty good ways to generate random numbers (unless you go back like 30 years ago). All versions of FFXII use the same PRNG algorithm, with the PS4 and PC version using slightly different initialization code than the PS2 versions. The only thing that changed in the PC version is the way that the PRNG is seeded. All the prior versions used a fixed seed. The PC version also uses the same fixed seed when you start a new game, but it will re-seed the RNG every time you load a save (this is also very easy to accomplish on the console versions of the game). The new seed depends on the time at which the save file was loaded and on the number of frames since booting the game. I already figure out a way to quickly calculate the new seed and this will hopefully be online in a couple days at most.

Good stuff, in a way im kinda happy that the rng manipulation is harder in pc because it kinda forces your mind to accept that getting those weapons is a perfectionist job, and you probably be better off skiping trying to get them or at least complete the game first (cause they also turn the game into easy mode) plus if you do get those weapons from sheer luck you will also feel like hiting a jackpot whereas if you manipulate the odds it probably just feels like "meh". On the other hand it´s always nice to have that tool nearby cause why not ? At the end of the day you just use it you want to.
