Option B: Set in your time mage a gambit with Self->Floatga (thats how is called in english right xd)
Option C: None of the earlier options :D. I find very fun to run in a whole bunch of lethal traps that kills my allies or puts them in interesting status ailments hahahaha. Besides nothing beats the sound of nice pack of traps exploding at the same time lol
It's a technick and one of the first ones you can buy. Rabanastre or just about any other tech. shop should have it for 400 gil. Basch also starts with it.
It's just called float, but it's also not available until you reach the Tchita Uplands, and only the Time Mage has access to this spell. Without it, the only other way to run over traps safely is to buy float motes from the Baknamy Merchant after visiting Ridorana Cataract or buy Steel Polens from the Clan Provisioner.
Better solution is float, since libra is a joke anyway. You cant use it when it matters, ie. on bosses, it doesnt say if they can be silenced for instance, it only gives you an element the enemy is weak to and since AI knows that without libra if you set up a weak to ambit, libra has no purpose in this game.
You don't understand this game at all.
Hm.
you'd be hard pushed not to have 1 of those 6 per team of 3.
I agree that Float is better, but it costs MP and there is only one class in the game who can use it, as opposed to 6. It's much easier to just have Libra set up and switch on a float gambit when you're in an area with a lot of traps.
You sound like a newbie to this game, so in case you didn't know you get a second job for each character about 20 game hours in, and before that point traps aren't too much of a factor. I'd highly suggest using a Shikari who has access to Libra. I believe Basch also starts with Libra regardless of what job you pick for him, you just need to go to any technick shop and buy it.
Libra or constant float status is absolutely essential in some of the later dungeons. Otherwise traps will decimate your party with significant damage or nasty statuses at the worst possible times.
It's a Technick. Ashe literally comes with a Bangle you can equip to anyone WAY before traps are introduced.
Anyway, once you get high enough in rank for Clan Centero, you can buy 3 "doesn't trigger traps" acccessory boots or (later on) get float boots (I *think* you can craft them) that basically makes the traps pointless at that point.
