Nabreus Deadlands Bug

Whenever I have the game at 2x or 4x speed and I'm transitioning between the Slumberland and the Echoes of the Past the game crashes.

Does this only ever happen in that area or in any other parts of the game?
Any error message that occurs?
Have you tried to lower settings to minimum and see if it still happens?

I'm not sure what you expect by just posting like that without any details and expecting us to automagically divine exactly what the problem is.

I mean thanks for reporting it (maybe) but the devs aren't going to update this game anymore. They've been done with it for over a year now.

Just happened to me, also happens when 2x/4x speed is off, and only happens from Slumberland to Echoes of the Past, after some time a fatal error pops up

Try running a game file integrity check on Steam. Usually crashes in a specific situation - especially one involving the loading of things like a new zone - are related to Steam screwing up some files somewhere. And when those files are called up, things go boom.

i don't think that's the problem, i never had any other problem on the game

anyway, it's a path that people don't need to go frequently, and still, you can take the other path to avoid it

would be nice if anyone could test if this bug happens too, just follow the video
anyway, i'm playing at 1440p max settings, just to know

Doesnt happen for me. Just verify your files real quick to make sure. Takes like a minute.

I actually have an entirely different and much more incredulous problem at x2/x4 speed.

Also in b4 this post gets locked. 2018 lmao.

This can happen over time, simply by virtue of how Steam works. It's always the first thing to check, because Steam does things sometimes for Steam reasons, and it's imperative to rule out first. And if it's just one specific file missing or damaged (like some file only found in that one zone) you wouldn't notice except in that specific spot.

tried right now, didn't helped, i also tried 30/60fps, low/ultra settings, but always happens

I wondered why I got a notification of a stream of comments from a 2018 thread. FFS.
I get 'this is the only thread on the issue' but if it has been more than 6+ months generally it is courtesy to just make a new thread.

For what it is worth, I haven't encountered the issue so I'd say just go bug Square Enix tech support and demand some actual support since you paid for it. If they decline tech support, then demand a refund since it should be that pirates get no tech support in exchange for getting the game for free.

I actually regret dropping money on this since my point to 'prove' that the lack of Denuvo would be increased sales for them has fallen on deaf ears. Seems SE like every other Japanese game company only cares about 'gacha' mobile gambling games now. Needless to say I would encourage everyone to look at any game that ever had Denuvo in the past and consider it a 'no buy' so that this type of malware is discouraged from future releases.

yep, never enter that area again
just try to leave, sometimes the game saves outside the area, then never go back there lol
there's another path, use it instead
