King Behemot?
Arrrgggh!! The cringe with this hunt is driving me bananas!! Guys, can you tell me how make it spawn please? The in-game information is... honestly poor and misleading. But on top of that I´ve just checked a video in you tube and its not working either. I´ve done the same things! Help :´(

1. Kill the behemots
2. Kill giruveratops and rest of monsters
3. Zoning to the next area and return
4. ????
5. No profit :D

Maybe I have to leave the giruveratops alive or something¿

That worked for me. Though i quit the game and continued from autosave at some point when nothing seemed to happened.

And for the record, i had more trouble betaing that thing than Fafnir or Hell Wyrm.

Not surprising, it's one of the hardest bosses.

Fafnir is a joke I don't know why people mention it.

And Hellwyrm is mostly just a test of patience.

The Mandragora Family spawns if you clear all enemies in Ice Field of Clearsight. They're not required for Behemoth King, but might as well kill them.

AFAIK Behemoth King only requires you to A) kill Giruveganos; and B) kill all enemies in The Edge of Reason.

Thanks Hinnyuu. In the end... I had to run away... I feel my group could use some more levels. I had no idea King Behemot was tough. Also I ran out of Phoenix down and Chrono´s Water. He keeps spamming slowga lol. I´ll invest some time to search for Hastega too xD

King Behemoth is a rather tough fight. In terms of overall mechanics, I'd probably rank it #3 after Zodiark and Yiazmat.

When this special vegetable "Gang" (with the names king/prince/queen) spawns you have to kill them as quick as you can, don't let them runing from shrine to shrine, otherwise they' ll get to lvl 99 by singing a special song and they will be one of the hardest encounter in the game.
When you first meet them, if you see that their health bar is not full, it means they have already gained some extra levels, so be prepared.
But as i said if you kill them as soon as they appear they should be as easy as....
i had some epic battles with these guys on PS2!

Guys, I´ve got some questions. No need to open more threads for now lol xD

1. Can I just pretend I didnt listen the "Gimme Elixir" from magic urns? Or am I forced to spend my elixers yes or yes xD? Seriously when they begin to run everywhere sometimes its even worse. I had some fatal accidents where I hit those guys with quickenings/black magic. Oh and btw, Easy way to farm elixers? Just in case you know.

2. Can I drop an elixer on those after I´ve begun to hit them so they just calm down or its game over xD?

3. Diamond armlet worth equipping it here? I keep getting wonderful pots with "1 guil" >_< haha.

4. Recommended lv to kill the magic urns :P? Damn... they kick my ass with flare lol

From what i remember the magic pot is immune to physical damage (maybe magic too), unless you give him an elixir, before or even after having engaged the fight.

Best thing to do is either avoiding it, or set up gambits accordingly, so your allies will kill all undeads as priority instead of chasing him everywhere around in the middle of undeads lands lol..
i remember guns being really effective against him because guns shots can't be evaded/avoided.

Note: you can always steal your elixir back when the area is clear from undeads before killing the magic pot (rare steal if remember correctly)

1./2./4. You can only give them elixirs BEFORE attacking them. There's generally only one magic pot per floor, so be careful.
You can steal back the elixir after you give them one, so you're not really losing anything.
They're NOT invincible when you hit them before giving them an elixir. They're immune to every element and highly resistant to damage but not immune - iirc you can hit them with non-elemental spells and weapons that don't care about defense such as guns. It'll still take a while to kill them, but you get the same LP.

3. The only place Diamond Armlet is worth wearing is Cerobi Steppe. It's the only area where the DA loot table has equipment rather than gil/Knot of Rust.

But if I steal they will consider it offensive action, and they will attack right xD? And thanks for the other answers :P

Of course it will.
And 99% of the time you'll need several attempts to steal it successfully since it's not a common steal.
But the elixir is everything there is to steal on these guys if i remember well, so if you steal successfully it will be 100% an elixir.
they also can drop an elixir on death...rare drop if i'm not mistaken but you'll most likely get a "magnificient super awesome" ether instead, since it's a common drop.

If you give it an Elixir, you can attack it without it fighting back. It will run around (FAST) but it will lose the insane resistances and it will not attack you.

Thank you guys. I am quite satisfied so far. I found a ribbon in there and another one in Henne Mines (place which I find kind of cringy too xD), but at least I managed to get curaja and some nice pieces of armor. My party is atm 66/67s. King Behemot is already down. I gave Zodiark a try., but he killed me lol.

I do not think he´s... hard. Maybe I just lacked the right amount of damage? The thing is when its hp decreased to lets say... 30% or so he just began to kind of spam Megashadow (Can I absorb it btw) Its some sort of enrage mechanic xD? I healed as much I could but nah... hahaha.

I´ll have a break for now. I need to decide my next destination. Gilgamesh 2nd round or um... time to explore the Great Crystal :P?
