Does this game have the "boosters" that other remakes have?
hey boys. so has this game got those cheats that other FF remakes have?
I know you can speed the game up, but is that it? Is there any other cheats, like maximum gil, maximum level, invincibility, that sorta stuff? Because I feel like it sorta ruins the game. The 4x speed isn't so bad. But all of the maximum stats stuff I hate.

Thanks

Yes it has them, they dumbed down the game and made it noob friendly by lowering the difficulty 10x times than what it used to be plus it includes these cheats in the options menu.

KEY FEATURES:

Maximized License Points and Gil

yeah but it's just 1 button away. when i was playing ffx and struggling with a boss, i COULD just lose the fight, then go grind for a few hours, or get a good strategy, or I could just press the "i win this fight lol" button and skip that real tough fight. totally ruins it for me.

there's a reason why most games these days do not have cheats (at least, cheats that do not disable achievements or require completion of the game), and that's because it really cheapens the experience.

no thanks. not my bag, baby.

These two cheats are almost completely worthless, though. Maxing both job boards requires no grinding and you'll do it playing the game naturally not even trying about halfway through maybe a little later if you neglect side quests. And Gil is also never an issue as you'll always be getting loot as you fight, and more and more loot the later you are in the game with Monographs and Canopic Jar. Especially if you're Stealing always, which you should be. Seriously they're the most non impacting cheats yet just about. If you let them prevent you from getting the game, you're just being silly.

Did they really change the difficulty? I don't mind cheats because I simply don't use them, but if they made the game easier in general, I'll stick to the superior PS2 version.

They only actually manually tuned a small handful of things difficulty-wise. The biggest wide-reaching thing that makes either IZJS or TZA easier is the removal of the damage cap and the fact that bosses are no longer immune to breaks. The Zodiac Job License Boards are also inherently more powerful than the original License Board because they are tuned to perform the job extremely well, and there are far more Battle Lores and Magick Lores than there were before. TZA letting you get two jobs makes it easier than IZJS, but you can choose to not take the second job by never taking the License Board Plus license.

They didn't make any changes with the intention of making the game easier, but they didn't avoid it either. Pretty much the IZJS version introduced jobs so that each character wasn't more or less a carbon copy of all the others. Which is good. They they re balanced the game since this was a fairly substantial change. However, in this new version, you are allowed two jobs, which throws the previous balancing out the window. Despite this, they didn't bother to reblance it again. After all, it's a 12 year old game. Frankly, I don't have much trust in Square these days, and had they given it to someone to balance it would have ended up even easier than it already is.

That's exactly what I feared. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Square caving to vapid casuals.

Junk options anyway. We'll still need a trainer to get all the rare weapons we want easily. Aren't there some weird debug ones that were added to the Zodiac versions?

You can also just not cheat. That's an option. But yes, there's an invisible bow with 224 attack/75 evade/hella range, an invisible sword that attacks like a dagger with 153 attack, an invisible shield that has 90phy/90mag evade and absorbs all elements, and a club that inflicts Sap and Disease 100% but doesn't do damage hardly at all. All of these things are gamebreakers in one way or another, and not recommended for normal play.

Actually glad to hear it has those.
Won't be using them on my first run, but it will certainly come in handy on the second and later runs.

Still remembering the horror past ps2 era where losing your save data was equivilant of a entire year's worth of time effectively wasted at that point, and another incoming for trying to get back to that point.
