Ideal King Bomb strategies?
First time I've seen a boss heal just about EVERYTHING of its health points.
Any recommended strategies for this cheating ♥♥♥♥♥?

If you're strong enough to handle its basic attacks, just hit it with those two and beat it to death while it's stuck. You'll still have to contend with Renew when its health gets low (Silence doesn't stop this but as was said, it doesn't reuse it forever) but if you start a quickening at low-ish health before the Renew is cast, you can finish the job without it recovering.

edit: And if Reflect works as noted above (I've never had to try that but it could certainly save a little time), that's one less thing to worry about.

The easiest way to handle it is by inflicting Disease status, which prevents healing. You can do this by tossing the right Meteorite at it, or using a Serum while having the Nihopalaoa accessory equipped.

Alternatively, you can just get more powerful overall and brute-force your way through.

Ah, in that case I may have to do some more quests first.
Very well.

I cast Reflect on King Bomb to prevent it from healing. According to FF Wiki, King Bomb casts Renew only twice, so you can simply keep fighting it until it no longer heals and runs out of HP. Nihopalaoa would have been handy, of course, but I didn't get it until the endgame.

Assuming you’re trying to tackle this as soon as the salikawood is available, you can pick up weapons and armor in the mosphoran highwaste and last two parts of the Dalmasca Estersand that aren’t available until after Archades. It takes some zoning back and forth and luck but if you pick up three black garb or diamond armor and black cowl or diamond helmet you should have no problem. Ally:any->handkerchief also helps, as well as reflect or disease on the boss as others have said.

It’s really only practical to get it once Giruvegan opens up, as Leo gems are few and far between until that and the cerobi steppe are available. Guessing this was intentional because you could buy it so early from the clan provisioner in the original and cheese your way through most of the early/mid-game hunts with it.

That's what I ended up doing: get it down to about half-health and then continue clobbering it with Quickenings chained together.
Worked out pretty nicely in the end, thanks for the tip.
