excalibur vs kumbha

what do you guys think is better for doing dps I have no clue but I would guess the excalibur since it hits so hard with white robes on

It depends on the setup. In most common scenarios Excalibur + White Robes will do more damage. However, if you can consistently be at <6.25% HP and the fight isn't over immediately, Kumbha pulls ahead.

It also varies depending on stats, since Kumbha scales with two stats (STR/MAG) while Excalibur only scales with one (STR) so it will vary depending on the current level you're at.

Overall Kumbha is the better of the two, excalibur only has good use in Henne mines part 2, especially against zodiark, because by the time you get your hands on excalibur, that's the only place left for you to farm and explore.

Best way to defeat yiazmat the normal way is : Tournesol +ribbon, Yagyu darkblade + genji, kumbha + genji + proper gambits.

Kumbha is not available until Pharos, I believe, so it's almost the same time as Excalibur (technically even later).

This looks a little uninformed. What would you want Ribbon for on Yiazmat? And Genji Gloves is less damage for a Shikari than Germinas Boots.

Not sure what pro builds are out there, but this is what I did and beat him pretty easy in 65 mins at normal speed. Ribbon just to avoid getting petrified or stopped, also adds the regen and libra bonuses to watch out for them traps.

Oh, also very important to use as many wither, shear, addle and expose from each available character on Yiazmat.
