Mine started working again after a few restarts. I did swap the USB port it was in, maybe that helped. I'm using a Logitech G143 SE on Bazzite OS.

Just fired up the game and it's doing it again. Going to try a few more restarts .
Same issue here, on Bazzite OS. Tried swapping ports, messing with gamescope options, no dice.
Managed to fix it by using ProtonGE-33.

Your'e a star Beef. I only had Proton GE32 but that has worked a treat😁, thanks.
Apparently ProtonGE 10-4 is the best version to use with Bazzite. I downloaded it with ProtonUp-Qt , works well so far.

I'm on mint 22.3 and I don't see that option in steam. Any suggestions?

I just bought the game and I can't even do the tutorial.
use alt tab and open steam on x11 or wayland in the background but foreground of background.

that works for me. steam has to be "open" on the desktop.

weird fix but works
I have steam open on another monitor. I'm running the cinnamon desktop in Mint, so I'm uncertain what you mean by opening on x11 or wayland. I tried the wayland commands in the launch options, but it did nothing.
cinnamon or gnome are overlays on x11 or wayland/

if this bandaid works for you as well make sure that it s the same monitor for game and steam active in the back
I just moved steam over to the main monitor and launched. It did not work. I still cannot even press the space bar to accept the audio settings and proceed to the next step. Well, I could by clicking on it with the mouse, but the keyboard input is just flat out ignored.

This is so frustrating.
My keyboard keeps turning on and off when matches start.

It seems to me that it's the anti-cheat software's fault.

The only thing that's worked so far is reinstalling the game. But a day later, the problem comes back.
yeah it sucks. I couldnt play if the weird fix wouldnt work for me either.

but i am on wayland and i read that mint still uses x11 (was ai summary, maybe wrong, not regoogling it right now, sorry)

maybe test it on a vm with wayland linux os or install wayland if possible and you are not on important system.

tbh the whole thread shows that it happens for only linux users.
they changed something with the event and this bug should be submitted to them somewhere so they fix it. But idk, i dont bother 2much because it s a game. When it wont work anymore i ll just uninstall and leave
I even disconnected my controller, an 8bitdo Ultimate, thinking it might be "stealing" the input. No luck.

I just bought it and I've contacted support. If this can't be resolved in a couple of days, I'm going to have to refund it.
No response from support. Refunded.
