It's a known issue and Crytek acknowledged it was when I reported it. Hopefully a fix soon.

Are you using a 7.1 headset? This game 100% needs to be in stereo. This game has the best spatial audio on the market. I used to have the same issue but finally switched to stereo this year and I can always tell where hunters are now

its a bug introduced with the last weeks hotfix, that hotfix added 3 game breaking problems. 1. audio bug (not the dark sight audio bug which can be temporarily fixed by using dark sight) 2. game runs only on 1 cpu core and 3. people cant start the game cuz of some EAC problem.

whoever greenlit that patch needs to get a new job.

Maybe when they tested they never have any issues like all the other patches that broke stuff.

Maybe they are using Soundblaster cards from 1998 and that's where us with decent rigs are going wrong?

i thought it was just me, i knew the sound was off. Im not crazy but after they added the wildcard back last friday the sound got messed up. prior to them adding it back my sound was perfectly fine. i have a great pc and headphones and i thought my settings were switched.... nope. everything sounds like slight echoes, footsteps can barely be heard, its alot more difficult to pinpoint where gunshots are heard, and periodically throughout the match it sounds like im underwater for several seconds or it sounds like the audio you hear when youre on the death screen. Makes me not want to play the game until they fix it bc sound is detrimental for this type of game.

No they are but we are all essentially being ignored as they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shill merch and ♥♥♥♥ and have yet to hear ANYTHING back from the devs

Something is bugged with audio since the new update.

Dunno what the cause is seems some people have not experienced it for some reason. Almost everyone in our discord has though.

Sometimes it randomly starts sounding like you are underwater and certain sounds are disabled, it was supposed to be part of the new event audio but it doesn't work right.

So there are a couple audio issues atm

Second this. Quite literally a different game when using spacial audio. That said there are definite audio bugs and glitches (currently have my sound settings to 100 on PC and in game and yet I hear at around 50% reduced audio unless using a specific audio setup.)

Only thing we can do is not purchase and change your reviews to negative. They wont listen until their twitch streamers actually start complaining. Welcome to modern gaming
