This. Bosses fights are ridiculously easy. You can one shot the spider with dynamite. The only purpose of Pve is to induce stress because you know that there is always potentially a player that will hear you and hunt you down. Other than that, bosses do not constitute a real challenge nor they are an interest if you take them alone without the pvp aspect.
It originated from the same root project "Hunt: horrors of the gilded age" where Hunt's studio focused on PvP the other studio focused on PvE.
Otherwise you can try taking silenced weapons only to try to avoid other players, but I think it'll get boring super fast. The PvE in Hunt: Showdown is an extra randomization factor that keeps PvP fresh and gives you something extra to do contrary to other walking-simulators they call extraction shooters. One isnt as good without the other.
No it doesn't have that, and trust me, the heart of this game is the PVP action. If all you could do was run around coop and engage the AI, you'd become very bored very quickly. It's not that type of game.
That said, it's got some of the greatest PVP out there, and the low player numbers per round keep everything manageable. It's not going to be like a round of counterstrike or CoD where thousands of rounds are getting sprayed everywhere.
