easy anti cheat

easy anti cheat keeps crashing as soon as i try to play the game in the services i tried to run its service because its stopped and it gives an error code 87 the parameter is incorrect

I have the same issue, my game was fine when I played it this morning, but now it won't even launch.

Avast is tripping Hunt as a virus, even when I add an exception manually it still won't let me update the game. I doubt this is related, but a bunch of developer accounts got hacked and whoever did it is pushing malware using the dev accounts. Like I said, I doubt this happened to Crytek, but it IS a little weird that this is happening so soon after that.

My game is crashing without error...dig into the game logs and constant EAC errors right up until the crash.

Same here, need help.
I believe it's the newest update yesterday, my game cannot launch, where each time EAC_EOS appeared a second and gone. I checked the local roam log in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming with the last line as "[22:23:46:664] [Windows] [EAC Launcher] [Info] Game process handle or ID have become invalidated, leaving the visible state: 0000000000000000, 0."

I tried to reinstall, but the eac_eos_setup having error in the log as well. so I reinstalled eac_eos as in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y9fiVBR8_w
It installed successfully, but can't launch.
I've also tried restart PC, reinstall hunt showdown, launch with my other steam account, change inbound outbount rules for HuntGame, hunt.exe, eac_eos_setup and eac_eos.exe. None of them work.

Problem solved: run Steam as Administrator, solved everything.

Thank you very much for writing this. I was upset because I thought I couldn't play, but you saved me

By doing this you're probably launching every child program of steam with high privileges, including the game and the steam web browser, meaning any cheater in your online game can gain the same administrator's access to your system if he finds a bug in the game.
A very wrong way of doing this things.
