There apparently isn't enough content to keep people interested, but it could also be game fatigue from a grindy event.
Maybe check steam charts first before posting dumb stats, peak player numbers in the last 24 hours are 22k which is pretty good for a 5 year old game. Obviously people will lose interest after some time after an update but hunt keeps growing more and more with each event.

The less than 11k players stat was taken from Steam Charts at the time of posting. The exact same link that you posted. So explain to be how it's a dumb stat?
They were celebrating the biggest spike since launch a month or so ago and now it's at HALF that number.
Pathetic. It bothers you, doesn't it? So you come here to make personal attacks on me?
Go cry to Crytek and ask for a well-made game that the number of players will hold for a while that is not so mediocre.
The player base and its decline can be tracked by statistics. Against numbers there are no arguments.
Are you mad because the company you are a fan of can't make a player base because it's bad? Too bad for you. She is mediocre.
I've also wondered about this. Is the steam charts website affiliated with Steam in any shape or form?
It wouid surely have to be to access the Steam databases.
Because its a single snap shot of one point in time that you are presenting as a global indication of declining numbers. Even a casual glance at the recent trend shows its a cycle that even as I type this is on an upward daily swing back to the recent highs of about 20K. Second implication is that 11K would be a poor sign, but for a niche shooter its not terrible. For a 4+ year old game it actually looks to be doing fairly good.
I literally just pointed out that the 11k stat I provided was from the persons recommended source.
What defines a niche shooter?
I think he is actually upset that you clearly misrepresent the data.
