Mob density is too much and unrewarding
There's absolutely no point to kill things other than get it out of the way. But it gives you nothing for doing so. It needs to give you dollars. Period. Every enemy AI you kill. I'm tired of an area being packed so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ full you can barely move while a team is just pressing down on you and you can't do ANYTHING about it because you round a corner and an Imo or Hive is just there. So then you get to get beat to death or deal with bee's while you're also getting pushed. It's absurd. And it happens ALL the time. Try to get through a water logged area with not a lot of land while you're in a fight? That's okay. 47 Water Devils will show up from nowhere to just give you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ headache. And hey, if it wasn't an issue. They wouldn't have put a pact in that basically negates the PvE in the game :^)

Yeah, been here since early access. I've always thought the A.I. was about 20% too thick. (30% on the newest map.) It's not so much that there's a lot of A.I., it's that the A.I. is predictably everywhere. I wish it was more randomized, which would help the A.I. be more tactically meaningful.

Also, I truly wish we could diversify the sound. Yes, the sound in this game is phenomenal (aside from the sound guy loving the hawk screech way too much). However, why can't we have a randomized set of sounds for different A.I.? Even if there were simply 3 sounds that each A.I. could make, that would help enormously.

A greater variety of A.I. sounds would be way more interesting and atmospherically realistic. Players wouldn't hear THE SAME DAMN SQUEAL/SCREAM EVERY G.D. TIME. The hive screech is particularly annoying, as are some of the zombies who scream at you the same time, every time. SCREAM SCREAM SCREAM SCREAM in a mindless, monotonous loop. It gets very tiresome after the first few hundred hours.

Apparently i'm just crazy for thinking there's too much and it's a "Skill" issue lmfao

There's certainly skill involved when it comes to dealing with the A.I., but it's not as though one can't make a valid criticism of there being too much A.I., regardless of skill level. After all, if Crytek were to increase the A.I. 30%... or 50%... or 100%... at some point EVERYONE would agree that the A.I. is stupidly ubiquitous. So it's a matter of what the ideal balance is. I agree with you that there is too much A.I. and I wish the A.I. were more randomized, sometimes very thick and sometimes very thin. Things would be less predictable and hence more compelling.

I either go loud and kill them and tell everyone where i'm at, or I run out of stam stabbing them all and get beat by half of them. It's absurd. Or going through water in a heavily flooded area and 4 Water Devil's in the same area coming after you. It's just insane.

Running out of stamina for fighting 7 zombies is a skill issue (you brought the wrong equipment and then refused to play slowly to accommodate your improper gear).

We can all act like we have choices out the ass when in a firefight and run into a pack of mobs that leave us not only winded but also hurt sometimes. But to act like mod density isn't an issue in some places and just non existent in others is braindead

Yes. Bring a heavy knife, knuckle knife, throwing knife, and/or throwing axe. You clearly had none of those since any of them is able to kill 7 grunts.

Bring brass knuckles, uses less stamina so its good for hordes (then use flares or flare gun for the armored guys)

Throw lanterns on hordes.
Don’t be afraid of making a little noise, if they’re close enough to hear the zombies burning from a lantern then they’re close enough to hear you running and hear your knife anyway.

Distract hordes, if you throw a decoy at something that makes noise they will go that way.

Use a silenced sidearm, a headshot is still a headshot. Silenced or not it’ll drop a hunter 9 times out of 10.

The brass knuckles are really good against hordes of grunts since they can get 10 heavy attacks in a row, but I personally recommend either the heavy knife (can oneshot grunts with lights, even exhausted, and cleave groups of them with a single heavy attack) or the knuckle knife (slightly less stamina efficient than the dusters, but does a million times better against armored).

Lantern explosions are surprisingly loud, they can be heard an entire compound or two away. Lanterns can be used to deal with a group of grunts quickly, but it's much louder than the sounds of sprinting and meleeing.

I was really getting at not being worried about a little noise, stealth is definitely important but positioning and maneuvering once you are in a fight is more important IMHO.

You literally gain EXP from killing them. Learn how to play properly and the mobs wont be a problem. This is not Fortnite or PUBG. You can't just run in a compound like a damn fool and expect there to be no consequences. That is what makes Hunt so much fun. Mistakes get you killed.

I love it when enemy hunters die due to a pack of dogs, an immolator or a hive they were too eager to notice, since they were trying to kill me so badly.

Never fails to make me laugh.

When I was very new, I once jumped a duo running to extract and got one. The other guy was being chased by like 4 grunts. I was using a bow and while trying to kill him, somehow missed all shots on him and killed all 4 grunts that were wailing on him. He seemed surprised before he shot me in the face. That one still hurts man. They had the bounty and everything.
