Yes... This makes me laugh often. It is hard to imagine HOW someone can think that.
Ping abuse is a myth.
And trades happen because of client side hit-reg and latency. It is a small side effect that is worth putting up with to have the benefits of the client side hit reg system.
They don't happen very often, and when they do, (in my opinion) they don't seem as off-putting as the problem that was fixed by the use of a client side hit register.
The ridiculous and strange looking trades likely are. The normal kill trades happen in less than 250ms if I had to guess. A little late, but not ridiculous.
I would not be surprised if Hunt gets special treatment in that regard (lag switchers) simply because of the client side nature of its hit registration.
I complaint about this issue in Discord and someone just answered: this is being worked. Wait...what did he mean by that? who is working in what? what is being done exactly? I ask this because I have never seen a single official post that adresses this very noticeable issue that ruins the experience for everyone :(
Discord is just Redit in RealTime. I wouid take most users advice on here than either of them platforms.
Discord is only the shills left as everyone else gets banned for pointing out negatively.
Think for once, we do actually agree on something
I wouldn't use the word "broke" as some people can't get decent internet, but half decent functioning internet 100%. I wouldn't put myself through it, must be stressful.
After trying to game on a mobile hotspot I don't know how people can do it. Jittery up and down ping and I tried it in 3 different States whilst working. Even on 5G getting over 100MB down and 40MB up it was a horrid experience. Then again thats all some people can get.
Anyone who thinks high ping is an advantage or gets you “cheap kills” is a clown, plain and simplw.
