This client ♥♥♥♥ is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful, and by far one of the worst changes made by crytek.

Id rather have high ping players suffer "ghost bullets" than deal with EVERYONE being able to hit/kill HUNDREDS of ms after being shot dead

...you are at such a MASSIVE disadvantage when you're lagging that it's genuinely laughable that anyone could be so ignorant as to think it gives them an advantage....

Yes... This makes me laugh often. It is hard to imagine HOW someone can think that.
Ping abuse is a myth.

And trades happen because of client side hit-reg and latency. It is a small side effect that is worth putting up with to have the benefits of the client side hit reg system.
They don't happen very often, and when they do, (in my opinion) they don't seem as off-putting as the problem that was fixed by the use of a client side hit register.

I've read on here it's people lag switching, can't remember where it was mentioned. I thought lag switching died out with Halo on Xbox One.

The ridiculous and strange looking trades likely are. The normal kill trades happen in less than 250ms if I had to guess. A little late, but not ridiculous.
I would not be surprised if Hunt gets special treatment in that regard (lag switchers) simply because of the client side nature of its hit registration.

lol @ instant -phobia accusation.
Yeah when your first response to seeing someone in another region has killed you is to come to the forums and complain about how they're "ping abusers" and shouldn't be allowed to play in your region, it's pretty safe to say you've got some xenophobia going on.
No, that's called assuming bad faith. Its one of the least safest things to do. If I see Players from China on NA East, my first question is why... What advantage to they gain from not playing in their region? That's why people question ping abuse, whether it's as bad as people say it is, or not.

The same people that whinge about ping abuse would be slamming their fists on their keyboard like toddlers when they rubberband even once. Always looking for some reason why they can’t possibly be worse at the game than their opponent. It’s a hard cope.

don't need to over extend the discussion: request for a better and more modern SERVER INFRASTRUCTURE. I can asure you that if we had at least 30HZ ticket rate servers (steady 30HZ) we will have a pretty decent experience in terms of input lag, hitreg in general, stuttering etc. Imagine if they really give us the option of 45HZ or not even mention 60HZ. Even Battlefield 4 has 60HZ servers that run like a charm.

I complaint about this issue in Discord and someone just answered: this is being worked. Wait...what did he mean by that? who is working in what? what is being done exactly? I ask this because I have never seen a single official post that adresses this very noticeable issue that ruins the experience for everyone :(

Discord is just Redit in RealTime. I wouid take most users advice on here than either of them platforms.

Discord is only the shills left as everyone else gets banned for pointing out negatively.

Tbh the steam forums aren’t any better. The steam forums are mostly the people too unsavory to participate elsewhere

if you're broke enough to not afford functioning broadband you shouldn't be playing online games to begin with

That’s a completely ignorant and childish take.

Think for once, we do actually agree on something :steamhappy: Take these posts with a grain of salt is an understatement with todays social media. However, given enough time you do notice who is worth your time and who is just trolling.

I wouldn't use the word "broke" as some people can't get decent internet, but half decent functioning internet 100%. I wouldn't put myself through it, must be stressful.

After trying to game on a mobile hotspot I don't know how people can do it. Jittery up and down ping and I tried it in 3 different States whilst working. Even on 5G getting over 100MB down and 40MB up it was a horrid experience. Then again thats all some people can get.

Speaking from experience people put up with it because they HAVE to if they want to play their favorite games. It’s 100% incredibly stressful, frustrating, and raised my blood pressure to have to deal with CenturyLink’s constant throttling, part swapping between lines, outages, god-awful condescending support that necer went anywhere, etc. I *knew* it was awful, but at a certain point you just don’t have a choice. There were weeks at a time where I couldn’t play RUST or CS:GO or TF2 or R6S or Destiny or any of the games I truly WANTED to play because I’d either D/C instantly or have over 2000 ping with hefty packet loss. Even when my internet was “good” I averaged 90-130 ping. Constant rubberbanding, lots of shots in games that wouldn’t register at all because the server invalidated them, and just a generally unfun experience.

Anyone who thinks high ping is an advantage or gets you “cheap kills” is a clown, plain and simplw.
