Hunt: Showdown 1896

I think people who got banned from the game are still able to play
I found this wall hacker with nearly 5,000 hours and constant comments saying that he is a blatant hacker on his profile, 42 pages; however, he is still playing. Not only this, he has a vac ban on his profile.

The kicker is that I looked online since I was sure he would've been banned and what i found was that there are websites even youtube videos on how to remove your ip and HWID ban.

Does anyone know if this is common and are hackers easily able to get back in the game even when they get banned and reported constantly?

There is guy with 33k kills and 2500 deaths, must be legit :D.And he is still in game.
Hardware bans are simple to get around even Android phones as a standard have a dynamic MAC address. Most will never even realize.

VPN will change your IP within seconds. Also ISPs IP are generally dynamic unless you request a static.

Cable connections your IP might stay the same for months at a time buy will eventually change.

Using a hotspot your IP is pooled and shared amongst many many users so they block one person they could potentially be blocking other users also.

They could go as far as blocking hardware identifiers but that is simpl to circumvent aswell.

Blocking the Steam Account though is easy and effective but can simply just start another account.

Easy, just start hitting these repeat offenders with hefty legal fines :cozybethesda: Enough of these Pro-internet-Scumlords lose a few thousand dollars, the concept of a bought 'advantages' will start to lose their appeal.

Hunt doesn't give out VAC bans because they use easy anticheat and not valve anticheat. Hunt only gives out game bans and that is tied to your steam id and not fixable by hwid changing or changing IP.

It's fixable by getting an Alt account. The same way people have been circumventing bans since the beginning of the Internet.

Not like Crytek does enough anyways when they rely on Easy Always Cheat and refuse to acknowledge how bad the cheating issues are in Hunt.

Yeah. An alt is the way they all do it. I was just telling the OP the guy he was looking at wasn't getting around any ban, and his VAC ban wasn't from hunt.

Microsoft needs to save us and just make a kernal level anti-cheat built into Windows that game companies can use.

no thank you
dont want a thing that spies even more on me

And that is why I hate it when people cry cheaters all the time. There is a solution to cheating but people aren't willing to do it. No anti-cheat will work good until it is kernal level. Lets get a real anticheat so everyone has to stop crying cheater all the time. Imagine how many people are going to freak out when they realize they are just bad and not dying to cheaters.

Hunt: Showdown does not use VAC. That's a ban for a different game.

That I'm pretty doubtful of.

Curious, are you saying that they should sue/fine the cheat creators, or the people using them? Because they can do the former, but not the latter. Activision did this with some group of people that were creating hacks for CoD, not that it stopped cheaters in Warzone for long. People just buy new scripts.

Unfortunately, fining a user of those things is less of a possibility because a lot of these people also cover themselves by using a VPN. All you can really do to these people is account ban.

I like the idea that buying a game with your legal name & address through Steam has no bearing on people being able to find out who you are, but your IP address that, at best, says what country you're in is the real piece of identifying information.

a KD of 1.32? damn they musssst be cheating no way someone is capable of getting 1 kill per match on average.....

ofc this is ignoring the assists but if hes a blatent cheater as much as you make him out to be then he wont have any assists to begin with
