But you're right - I have the profile saved, of course, so I can try reinstalling the driver again and try to run the game without undervolting, even though I'm sure I've calculated it correctly (I put a really big reserve until the crash).
Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try tonight.
P. S. I'm really not the only one with this problem. I found several people on Reddit with the same problem - high end AMD setup and D3D12 error message.
I'll keep testing this more tonight, but the bottom line for me at the moment is this: always set AMD Adrenaline to auto-tuning before playing a new Hunt, then revert back to custom tuning after the game. And I'll hope that Crytek's next patches, and especially the new AMD driver update that should arrive soon, will solve the problem and I'll be able to play Hunt normally on my custom tuning (slightly undervolting) graphics card again.
Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'll see if that works in the long run.
Thank you all for your help and advice.
I have the same problem with an Nvidia Geforce 1080.
Everything was fine with the old version.
I hope the creators will solve the problem quickly

Otherwise, a friend of mine is a gaming programmer - we were troubleshooting together why there is an undervolting problem in the new Hunt. His answer was pretty straightforward - unfinished optimization for high-end cards, whether AMD or Nvidia.
As I've written before, I don't want to insult Crytek, because I love the game and I've heard thousands of complaints and insults to its programmers over last days. I believe they will fix everything soon and I'll be able to undervolt the graphics for the new Hunt again. Mainly because of the unnecessarily high consumption...
In all the other games I play, my undervolting works seamlessly while maintaining low temperatures and significantly lower power consumption, while the card loses a marginal percentage of its maximum performance (which is really high on the 7900 GRE).
And I find such comments funny, what does the message "Error D3D12 Device Removed A Fatal Error Caused The GPU To Crash Or Hang" have to do with how old the graphics card is? After all, I won't buy a new card specifically for Crytek, especially since I can run other titles without any problems even with this year.
Crytek has a programming problem,
Let's remember that hunt showdown had a problem with server synchronization. With bugs that affected the comfort of playing. But I hope that Crytek will do something about it so that people with older graphics cards can play (my 1080 from 2016 is only 10 percent less efficient than the 3060 from 2021)
Mark my answer as a solution:
And glhf
Anyway, thanks again - the game is stable now, but I still believe I'll be able to undervolt the graphics again in the future, refer to my previous posts.
GLHF to you too!
