Yeah that's also what annoys me about it, it's a fun fight that only lasts about 10 seconds.
I was expecting, you know, roaming, the thing chased you round the map.
Then after that initial encounter just lobbed chokes at him and the fun was over. You can just shoot it from certain spots over and over and his fireballs won't hit you.
Not what I was wanting but it is just like all the other bosses. Easy and just something to attract players. Why it chases you and once it reaches a point it turns around and goes back to its initial spot. Why can't it follow you everywhere like regular AI?
Give it 2 weeks and it will be like RotJaw, if you stumble upon it great kill it. Otherwise nobody is going to bother.
I thought his fireballs were pretty insane. I think it's fine he only lasts "10 seconds". Of course I exclusively play solo, so my perspective is a little different. Maybe let him take another hit or two to compromise, but a boss like that we don't want to be kitting forever.
Which could have been very entertaining, proper roaming Boss with a couple of immo bodyguards which i thought was what was going to happen creating a massive fireball ♥♥♥♥ show somewhere on the map.
That's exactly what makes these fights interesting and why the community has wanted roaming targets for almost as long as the game has existed. Instead of being "Compound Assault: Showdown" all the time.
The first day of the update felt like exactly that and it was awesome, having 3-way firefights at Oro Mine, and Miners Folly was great.
