things to try to fix performance issues and stutters

Turn on HAGS:
this one got my friend +40 fps
System>Display>Graphics>Default Graphics Settings>Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling ON

Game Mode On

Update your Drivers and install drivers for GPU, CPU,chipset, monitor, and etc:
i had a friend who was using the default NvIdia drivers from windows. Nvidia has game ready drivers which are required for most, the game will just be a black screen otherwise

Other black screen fixes:
I hear sometimes its related to Windows firewall blocking the game on network, if you boot and din't ask, probably blocked and need to allow huntgame.exe and hunt.exe

Turn on ReBar:
this one Resizable BAR you may need to update bios and search on google with particular board on how to find. its for RTX 30 series and up.

Stutters and ADS stutter:

• Try turning off Near Depth of Field in graphics
  
  
• Delete Shader cache folder:
  delete the folder Shader in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hunt Showdown\user
  
  
• if having more problems just delete the entire user folder, but will have to reset up and settings

Low settings or just stick with high if you can or tweak if needed.
low settings they still look great and about on par with old high settings in most ways and better in ways. so if were on high before, start there. Ultra is meant for extra expensive GPUs. High is optimized settings in most games and when push past that you are usually turning off optimization with brute power to compensate if you have it to spare. usually diminishing returns. ultra textures is only one that should matter usually and couple others

If struggling with high, turn down the lighting, shadows and global illumination are some of the heaviest in games. try lod settings and ratios at lower settings. fog is super heavy as well. usually water is too, but in my case it wasn't when i messed with it

ill post my recommended settings once i feel it out more, but so far i stick at usually a locked 144 on a 4070 and 5800x3d on mostly high
