So, whats your point? I don’t get it.
The DLCs are all cosmetic, you don't need any of them to play the game as intended. In 5 years, a lot of new skins have been added, thus a lot of DLCs you could buy in order to support the continuous development of the game.
So you obviously didn't read my whole post. I never said you did need them to play and in fact asked a question. 60% off and still $200 seemed insane for skins. NOTHING game altering makes it even "worse" IMHO.
I'm all about supporting continued development and as I stated, I have no problem with DLC's, even at full price in some games.
But when some games start releasing massive amounts of DLC and never adjusts for that, it becomes a problem for the consumer, ESPECIALLY one that newly wants to enter the game if it's "not just skins".
Try better reading comprehension next time.
I agree and that's kind of my point. And at what point does that not become a bit predatory? You can't release a free update? That much constant paid DLC seems... excessive? HEY.. again... individual choice... no-one makes you buy anything, I'm all for free-market.
But as a company you need to be self-aware and at some point realize that either you need to adjust the older DLC prices or just start flat out including them or make some kind of adjustment if you want to bring in new players and retain old players at some point.
