DLSS not staying active

every match my friend needs to reboot the game each match because it will cancel it, & not let him choose DLSS after/durring a match, in match he has 30-40fps but with mobs and stuff its dropping to 20fps with DLSS he is consistently running at 80-90fps. he has a 12700 and a 3080 TI OC with 128Gb of 5200 and plenty of storage on a M.2

(EDIT: it ends up that he is running at 2-12%CPU while playing, his network has 2x more data sending compared to receiving, his SSD is at ~3% and his GPU is 93% in game, he is still getting 30-40fps. all of his cores are enabled, and he isnt overheating.

Something is wrong on that system if he's only getting 30-40 fps with that CPU/GPU. It should be way higher, with or without DLSS.

i know, he runs Tarkov at 80-110, and Monster Hunter World 70-80 (this is at 4k res on everything btw) he is on 560.81 for his GPU driver in Nvidia

Yea I also got stutter from time to time, I got 144fps but then it'll usually drop to 30fps then back up slowly to 70-90fps then back to 144fps (I capped it at 144). I also noticed that I've been getting more stutters than usual which they need to fix ASAP because it's not my rig.

Edit: I use all ULTRA graphic settings with DLSS to Balance

yeah DLSS is bugged sadly. Game runs and looks much better with it but it just turns itself off everytime

the issue hes having is that the whole game will run like dogwater, it was doing this prior to the big update but DLSS literally brought his FPS back to how it was back when we first started playing.. and its not even intermittent fps with lag spikes its a constant fps deficit..

Hi, I have the same problem with DLSS.
However, I noticed that trying to activate it in the game, or changing some settings, sometimes the GPU memory consumption increases a lot, practically it doubles.
Maybe that's also why your friend then gets few FPS.

Nvidia probably discontinued the DLSS version because it's that old.

Mine also deactivates each time and performance tanks to 40fps, this is with 3070ti ..

Yes DLSS turns itself off - AMD works fine - use that for now - DEVS FIX DLSS PLEASE

This just started happening to me today earlier. Breaks after every game now and needs to be restarted. Was fine before, Nothings changed,

I switched to AMD FSR (Balanced) – it works better than DLSS, even though I have an Nvidia GPU. Nvidia should be ashamed that AMD's technology works better on their hardware.

The version of DLSS is like 2 years old, thank Crytek for that.
