How does hellborn's spawn work?

Does he spawn on the sealed hoard, and if that's the case does the sealed hoard move locations as the event progresses? Additionally he doesn't seem to be bound to one compound like Rotjaw is, he chased down my group to an entirely different compound

You press F or E, whatever you use to check for the clues in the map, Once you hear a sound of a scream or something like it, you just follow from where it comes on your headset/soundbar and go for it.
