Probably because you only have 1 hunter. To retire, you need a hunter to be level 50 and you need to have a second hunter active.
Right click on a hunter in your hunters menu and it will open up a new menu on the right. At the very bottom there it showcases you "Retire Hunter".
only one problematic achievement left
their updates make things worse each time -_-
What do you mean "Their updates makes things worse each time." It was always like this, since the game came out of early access. They done nothing with the achievements.
In matter of fact, it even become more easier then before for newer players, since the base weapons are not locked behind level anymore. Only the variants of the base weapons needs to be unlocked.
So, I would even say, it's even easier for newer players.
retire button is not available after their update for 25+
so they made harder to get particular achievement. see op and the first comment
The "Five-Ace hand" achievement that you were talking about, hasn't changed. You get that achievement by having 5 level 50 hunters at the same time. Wether you can retire them on level 25 or 50, doesn't matter.
So, nothing has been changed. The only achievement that got effected is "Convalenscent home" which is retire 25 hunters. This achievement is harder to get, not "Five-ace hand" that one is still the same.
Sure, you also get less exp since you can't retire those hunters at level 25, but who cares about that? All the base weapons are unlocked from level 1, only the perks are behind level wall. And many people do prestige anyway.
So I guess you mixed up "Five-Ace hand" and "Covalenscent home".
I have 8 (almost 9) max level hunters, and i'm a solo. I got them all since Sunday .
It is not hard to get a lvl 50 hunter. You just need to pick your battles. Don't blindly rush into conflict because conflict exists.
my mmr is floating between 2 and 3 stars. when i was trying to get "five-ace hand" i had ~33lvl hunter. boss near my spawn location. fight in progress with regular checks. i was killed from behind at some point. bad mood -_-
for solo hunters it goes slower compared to teams
also i don't spend too much time in game. ~2 hours not on a daily basis
with their update not allowing to retire 25+ lvl hunters i have no idea how much time i'll have to spend to get "convalenscent home". and after their update no desire to make such goal.
they really made things worse with their update:
- no previous weapon structured list. and no weapon book. hard to guess what else can be unlocked and how
- no monster book. just gone. i liked to unlock new records
- after update previously unlocked hunter slots disappeared
- ui bugs. sometimes "tooltips" overlap buttons
- more clicks for previousl actions. bad from used experience point of view
- changed conditions for getting "convalenscent home" achievement
- one line displaying for level depending unlocks. it's a nightmare to go through it
- nerfed necro. harder for solo players to play vs teams (horever i don't see increased burning speed as an issue. less wasted time for others)
I mean look at my steam achievements I did the convalescent home and 5 aces achievement at the same time, so if I did it so can new players... you taking the easy way out doesn't change anything. Im so confused here
