I'm going to post what I've tried just incase it helps someone else (But I'm still black screened)
You can change the resolution settings and even full screen, windowed etc in this directory...
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Hunt Showdown\USER
in "game.cfg"
r_WindowType = 3
2 means windowed, 3 means full screen, 1 something else... not sure.
In that file you can also change the width and height of the screen so if it is a resolution issue there'd be your fix.
I've followed all the steps in this video by "MenakaTechWorld" to no success all the steps they listed in their video were...
Step 1) Restart PC, verify the game files
Step 2) If you are using any third-party antivirus allow the game exe to your antivirus program. Windows Security users allow the game exe file to controlled folder access and firewall
Step 3) delete Shaders folder
Step 4) Delete the USER folder (This will reset all of your in-game settings/In game settings will be lost)
Step 5) Run the game as an administrator from the game installation folder, try running the game in compatibility mode
Step 6) Perform a clean installation of graphics driver
Step 7) Run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 8) Try -dx11/-d3d11/-dx12
Step 9) Roll back graphics driver
Step 10) Install Visual C++ Files
Step 11) Update your Windows
Step 12) Increase the Virtual Memory:
View Advanced system settings
Initial Size: 1.5 x Total Ram
Maximum Size: 3 X Total Ram
Step 13) Unplug external devices such as hotas, pedals, racing wheel, Razer Tartarus, disconnect all the additional USB adapter connected to PC, disconnect additional joystick/controllers connected. Disable Overlay, close all the overlay apps (Discord, GeForce Experience, Nvidia shadow play overlay, AMD overlay). Close all the overclocking application MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner, perform clean boot, remove the undervolt
Step 14) Uninstall the game, go to the game installation folder and delete the game folder, restart your PC, and reinstall the game to C Drive/if already installed to C drive, then install the game to another SSD
The only things I've not tried are
- update windows (I produce music so that's not happening until current projects are finished)
- run the game on dedicated graphics (hahahaha good joke)
- uninstall the game and reinstall on C drive.
my games drive is a HDD not SSD and it's not on the main C drive, I can't be bothered to try that tbh.
Any fixes or info let me know!
