Game performance after the new update
Hi there,

Am I the only one having horrible slowdowns after the last update? Every other game work perfectly fine, I updated to the latest Nvidia Drivers with Hunt: Showdown 1896 support, enabled DLSS in Performance mode.

Before the update:

- Was able to play at Very High at 90+ FPS constant.

After the update:

- Can't even play on Medium without slowdowns every 10 meters.

Rig:

- Win 10
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900 12-core 24 CPUS @3.1GHz
- 32G RAM DDR5
- Nvidia GEFORCE RTX 2070 8GB VRAM

Is there anything to disable in the options? Any tricks we should know about?

Cheers.

EDIT: typos

Don't worry, they will carry out a rollback in order to fix everyone's issues.
Lazy millennial devs would rather chuck all the responsibility to dlss/fsr than waste even 1 hour a day optimizing their trash game.

I really, really don't understand how they managed to tank this that much and make a video about how "performances are amazing".

what resolution do you play on and what settings? Lets not forget the graphics fidelity has been increased. 4060 no matter what version is an entry level card , best to run games at desired frame rate at 1920x1080, yet will struggle with very demanding games. If I recall correctly, HUNT- showdown did demand even before this update.

Sorry it was a typo, it's a 2070 obviously.

Solved it for me, I turned off Nvidias instant replay and the whole overlay, hopes this helps.

Best solution, buy a new top of the line NVIDIA graphics card... for 1k+.

Now on to me complaining.

At least you don't have an AMD card. Shadows = night time in the Marina trench. In short they have a ton of graphic fixes to the point I expect this event to be a bust.

They pushed an update at the end of the week... number 1 rule in programming, never put out an update on Friday, so they did it on Thursday night. :steamfacepalm:

They took servers down for 2 days, so I doubt they can revert after collecting the issues to work on it behind close doors. And if I recall correctly, this is the flagship of the new engine. So Abandon all hope, or go put down money for a card whose price is escalated due to bitcoin mining.

I feel like I got a performance boost with my Ryzen 5600X and 7900 GRE.
I enable higher optionsq game after game and didn't get noticeable performance drop for now.

Game looks quite better.

Really loving it, outside of the whole UI.

They are now forcing DX12(-dx11) command doesn't work.

Lighting is now being forced to Medium instead of having the option for off.

With everything on low in the shooting range, I was getting 156fps, now the best I can get is 139.

Probably lighting because the cause, not DX12. Wondering if this can be changed through a .ini file or not.

I can get 156 if I use DLSS Balanced, but before I was using 90% render scale to get it. Not sure which is better but I assume the 90%.
