I do not use it anymore, it is useless.
I had poison ammo on my pistols, so I can quickly kill for example IMMOLATOR, now it is not worth to use it.

just now found a poison nagant silencer on a dead hunter.

negant suppresor i do use it with poision ammo, but the entire reason i take it in the first place is a pve focused side arm to deal with stuff like roofhives quickly and easily

the immulators being immune is just dumb but none the less can get the job done if needed (just have to pack to stun it if it gets too close)

if you were taking this weapon just to counter immulators you may as well not have been taking it in the first place

i dont agree with the nerf but i dont think its impacting its usage either i think people are only noticing how redundent of a pick that no one uses despite being well known due to the nerf

well im not using it anymore as i do see the other mentions you did here but now that the immo is immune to it i might aswell just pick spear to handle all of the other sitiuations and knuckle for the immo.

as i could mention multiple other ammotypes that i feel outshine the poison by alot.

poision was always the inferor ammo type to the point that antidote shot had double duration, but due to solos using it for poision counter it got nerfed (thanks self revive)

dunno what lead them to the poision immunity on immulators but its just dumb but for me that was never the reason i decided to take it

i always used it as a pve utility kill armord's especially for ones with barbed wires and roof hives to save a fair amount of time and conserve stamina (armord's even with heavy knife eats up like half) or even cross water infested with waterdevils safely

and while throwing spear and axes they are impratical for general use (especially the spear) and usually this means replacing your knife unless you want to change your tool build (which for me is traps and flair to prevent revives and apply pressure)

the poision negent main advantage was disarming everything instantly (besides birds) which it still can do (although immulators are now more annoying) and will remain to use it for that intent

it just was never a popular pick because it was just for pve purposes which while a newer player can heavily benifit from it pve for experienced players are just a inconvinence

also basically just unrelated but the spear didnt grow on me and id have to change out what tools i bring to make room for it (unless i replace my knife which is just no) and if you are bringing a tool for pve purposes you got better options like the axe / knifes dusters or even flair gun (wow multi purpose tool burning dead players and killing annoying pve)
