Yes, it's quite annoying. Mine doesn't necessarily crash but freezes or freezes and goes black. The game is still running and I can hear it in the background but have to Alt-F4 the game and hopefully reconnect as quickly as possible.

1. Verify game files through Steam.
2. Make sure your graphics drivers are up tp date. nVidia released one a few days ago.
3. Delete the USER folder in your hunt showdown directory. Screenshot your mouse/graphics settings before doing that as it will revert them to default.

Eeesh, so far....I have what's keeping my game stable and you guessed it.....EAC strikes again. I went through the repair process of the application in the local folder. Didn't work. Then uninstalled through windows and reinstalled through the app located in the game's EAC folder. Played for one day afterwards and no issues....I swear....EAC is such a pain and the work YOU have to go through to find your own fixes is crazy.

The other items here were also helpful but it's a pain you're on your own to troubleshoot this application's issues.

Sounds more like a graphics driver update is in order

Bill, thanks for your reply because I believe this works for some people and they should be tried first. But looking at other threads there seems to always be an EAC issue unless a driver/BIOS issue fixes it first.

I think people don't look at EAC as an issue because it is innocuous and there's no mention that EAC steps in and finds something. You have to go to something to procmon and run it to find something and hope you can give something to EAC and open a ticket.

This is something that takes too much time and in IT I want to get away from the work and play and think you all as well. Just to much for dealing with EAC.

Apologies for the rant but EAC is something that's been quite the bane for me and hopefully this helps someone.

Hey I had trouble loading the game (just had a smoke sky graphic playing) and deleting the USER folder actually solved it. cheers.

@CoolRick, thanks for the feedback and glad it worked!
