Use throwing knives together with the Blademancer trait that you can get from any supply in order to kill AI effectively and also quietly. Meatheads give the most xp for you, so try to roam compounds that are greyed out and look for AI to take down while not making too much noise.
It's very boring to level up your hunter that way, but it's a safe method (especially since you're trying for 2 weeks already).
No problem.
There's always two sides of a coin. You can farm AI which is boring or try to win fights which is fun but also have a lot more risk for succeeding (especially if you're still in a learning phase).
There's no shame in trying to farm only AI in order to get your desired hunter skin unlocked.
So good luck in your matches and with your hunter leveling.
