Hunt: Showdown 1896

Hunt: Showdown 1896

Too many cheaters and disrespect.
Hunt is one of the most immersive and unique games on the market, but its experience is being destroyed by the inefficacy of the anti-cheat system and the lack of moderation against toxic and criminal behavior in VoIP. It is outrageous to see the absurd number of cheaters ruining matches without any real consequences. While honest players strive to improve and enjoy the game, hackers use illegal programs to gain an unfair advantage, turning competition into a joke. Worst of all, Crytek seems incapable – or worse, uninterested – in effectively solving this problem.

As if the infestation of cheaters weren’t enough, the game’s VoIP has become fertile ground for toxic behavior, racism, xenophobia, and other forms of discrimination. Players abuse the communication system to spread hate speech without any fear of punishment. This is simply ridiculous. The lack of a robust reporting system and efficient moderation gives free rein for these attitudes to continue unpunished, driving away players who seek a healthy, competitive, and enjoyable gaming environment.

How many times has the community already asked for a decent anti-cheat? How many reports have gone unanswered? Crytek’s disregard is a blatant disrespect to those who have invested time and money in the game. This is an issue that could be addressed with proper investment—after all, Crytek has no problem investing in weekly skin releases. Yet, it seems completely uninterested in developing basic tools to protect the community from these problems:

An efficient anti-cheat system that truly detects and eliminates hackers with severe and definitive punishments.

Measures against repeat offenders, so that cheaters cannot simply create new accounts and continue cheating.

Active VoIP moderation to combat discriminatory behavior, including a functional reporting system and exemplary penalties.

Transparency and communication with the community regarding the actions taken to resolve these issues.

Crytek is draining my will and patience to continue playing this game through sheer inertia and negligence. And I know I am not alone. If nothing is done, more and more honest players will abandon Hunt, leaving only cheaters and toxic players to dominate the game. At this point, I’ll follow the old saying: if you don’t like it, leave. I am well aware that I make no difference to Crytek or the broader community, but the longer it takes for changes to happen, the more players will walk away.

But it was. I'm so fed up that I didn't even bother to elaborate, just threw it into ChatGPT and changed a few things. I don't want to waste my time on this crap anymore.

Hunt used to be a great game with a great community. I think a lot of the people using cheats are the same dipsh!ts using slurs and derogatory language. The behavior feeds into itself. These are lowlifes of the lowest level and decorum, from all corners of the globe. It's funny that teamkilling a random for using cheats or slurs will get you banned, but committing those acts which are against ToS won't get you banned.

Says the cheater, HAVE MY AWARDS NOOB 🤡🤣🐔
First off voip has had tremendous issues for most people since 1896 so the chances you're regularly in voip being talked to is none existant.....

cheaters are in literally every fps game and not a single game are people satisfied with "banning cheaters" and on the subject of cheating you dont seem to realize being banned doesnt change a literal thing.... ive talked with hackers in different games and most the time its dirt cheap to just buy a stolen account for a few dollars which they instantly make back because cheating is beyond profitable.

Come the end of the day yeah crytek is terrible at banning cheaters (look how long it took a cheater clan to get banned, cant say the name obviously) but even then all that happened was new accounts new clan same people

But why doesn't Crytek implement a better anti-cheat? They're only good at creating skins and releasing a new one every week.

Dude, the first post is ChatGPT generated lazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. After reading it, I felt offended. The content is mostly true, except for the social justice warriory bit about racism in voip. Why would you even focus on such an inconsequential thing? Weird.

In a world where everyone only cares about making money and success comes from having money, businessmen even hope that scammers will buy games again.
Saying too much is just futile.
Unless you live in a world where all games are free, the country provides entertainment, or something similar, I don't know, and everyone only has one account, just like their ID card, if you cheat, you can't play games anymore. I think only in such a world, cheaters are not a problem, but this kind of world doesn't exist.

This game goes down and down and down .... still boosting solo twitchers, with nonsensical weapons like Chu ko Nu and etc. many cheaters, china players (why on EU servers?). last time i played against Virgin island player (on EU server) his steam lvl was 1, and had bought only one game ... Hunt. Cool!
