Hunt: Showdown 1896

DLSS Swap
Did you try swapping DLSS version via the nvidia app? Its pretty sharp on performance. So much so I have to disable extra dlss sharpenning in the games graphics settings.

Isn't it possible to get a ban for doing that though? For how long have you been playing after the swap?

Its done via the official nvidia app. You think they'll ban me for that? I just tested it on the shooting range. didn't really play online with it.

Looks like I didn't pay enough attention to your post, was thinking about simple .dll swap. Since it's officially supported via the app I would imagine it's safe but you never know with these things. Let's hope that Crytek releases a statement about this.
Did you notice a significant increase in fps?

DLSS 4 doesnt increase FPS, if at all it slightly decreases it but the quality is much better. At this stage hunt looks at least sharper. Maybe even a little too sharp.

Tested it a little bit myself and the quality is indeed much better, less ghosting and even on performance mode it looks better than default quality mode imo. Have yet to test in a proper match though.
Thank you for making the thread, would probaby have missed this feature otherwise

You`re welcome. Don't forget to disable sharpenning in the game. Its just too much.

Played a couple of matches and so far I didn't get banned :)
BTW: the picture is incredibly stable in quality mode. Pretty nice for a free update.

just did a quick test in 1440p balanced mode, the image feel more precise and smoth that without scaling
Yeh, finally flickerfree AND sharp picture.

works so good. finally no unsharpen ghosting while in movement!
for whatever reason it works for the first match then disappears from the options after that. weird.

How does it "disappear"?
There is no new option created in the hunt settings. Its just using another model.

DLSS has this bug since the launch of Hunt 2 back in August, DLSS was implemented after ppl backlashed them when they announced they implemented FSR only, from (without exaggeration) the hundreds of games I played since DLSS became a thing this is the worst implementation for it in a game ever!
also the sharpness you see on the lobby character will disappear in a match (actual map), and cracking up the sharpness again will help with the blurriness (IN MATCHES). I'again, there is something fundamentally wrong with it. FSR still WAY better than DLSS3/4 in this game AND THIS GAME ONLY!

You know we are talking about the DLSS swap function of the nvidia app, right? After swapped I don't use sharpness anymore, because its sharp enough. It always works and of course in matches. When I updated the nvidia driver the swap was undone again and I had to enable it again. Thats the only unconvenience I encountered. And thats where I recognized dlss4 is disabled again. Picture got verry fuzzy again what made me wonder.

FSR is just blurry, I tested it as well.
