Hunt: Showdown 1896

Hunt: Showdown 1896

Who decided that if you prestige it should not be worth it at all.
It is the worst prestige mechanic in any game I have ever played, the rewards are horrificly beyond not worth it, and you lose ALL your experience on ALL your guns? Who decided this, I want to know who thought this was a good idea.

Haha, i would like to hear your complaints all the way back when you didnt keep basic variants and special ammo of every gun and were unlocking them on various bloodline levels.

Here's your Winnie please Prestige again. 🤣
Playing longer isn't supposed to give you an advantage. Prestige isn't supposed to make things easier, it's supposed to be an additional challenge.

That said, the current prestige system is no longer a challenge. Before it had a little bit of challenge, now it's just variant unlocking and not having all your traits at the beginning.

And the rewards are minimal beyond the few rookies that are included at a few ranks.

Basically, no rewards involved anymore.

Prestige does need some more attention if they intend for people to do it. Currently, the advice is that people shouldn't prestige because even the cosmetic rewards aren't interesting.

This pretty much, it was much worse and made alot easier. However, still not worth it in the slightest. I never prestiged cause I earned my rank/gear the long/hard way and the game is hard enough already without handicapping myself further.

The only advantage, and I mean only one, is that you get a nice cash bonus up front for doing it. So for those that have a harder time budging their loadouts, this can be a incentive, but I think most players can stay afloat pretty easy once they learn the compounds/basics of the game mechanics.

People are so entitled that they want to be rewarded significantly for wiping their progress entirely at their own choice.

There are Prestige exclusive skins available, other random skins throughout and premium currency. Guess they want 100 skins and 1000 BBs every 2 days.

You are right, but at the same time wrong. Its not worth it for a few skins and the prestige of saying you did it. I would say most people don't really care about the magic prestige number in front of their names.

What I think Fail-Tek should do to entice people, is instead of making every single new skin a paid DLC. Put aside like 25 really really GREAT ones and have them be randomly selected every 2 prestige levels. Also, maybe have some extra great skin for milestones, like level 10/25/50 in addition to the other ones.

My point is, Fail-Tek needs to put their money into the prestige system and make it really worth it for really cool skins. Hell, they can even make them be community created ones for that extra flavor...... another point is they will be free and obtainable for everyone.

I would go more than 2 levels as during an Event if you into prestiging it's the ideal time with the Experience Points everywhere or simply remove the Experience but then you are punishing those that don't prestige I guess.

The reason I've never gone for the 100 prestige (I would have completed it easily with the hours I have invested). The 13 times I've done it, it was fun the old way to use weapons that you would never use.

It was the traits being behind the grind that were the killer part. You win 1 match at early levels and you couldn't even spend all your trait points if you bought everything available. Vigilant a 1 point trait LvL 61 (used to be in the 80s). It's one of the best traits in the game, it's a nightmare without it now I'm used to it.

All of that sounds like a bunch of lame stuff to make it easier to prestige. It's supposed to be an accomplishment, not something easy. The lack of rewards is PART of the incentive.

I prestiged to 100 because it was a challenge, made you use guns you wouldn't normally use (springfield, winfield, etc.), forced you to play at a disadvantage making you rely on your gameplay instead of a flavour-of-the-month gun.

I used to just bank the hunters once i got a bounty with them because you couldn't really buy too many traits; just grab another free hunter and jump into another match. i miss those days.
You used to just get the symbol lol.

Yeah its crazy. I probably coulda prestiged 50 times by now but its not worth it. I prestiged once and just content with that.
Yeah i quickly realised it's just not worth the effort in any way. Staying at level 100.

It's not like it's a week of play to unlock everything like older games when you prestige... To unlock everything in this again takes weeks/months depending on how hard you are playing.

It's just not worth it.

I just wish there were more "Random Skin" rewards in Prestiging.
That's literally the ONLY reason i ever prestiged, now i'm prestige 8 and i can confidently say i will not be prestiging any more because there's just no point now.

Thats my point though, there is no zero incentive really outside of the added challenge. Honestly as well, I don't see a problem with it as it is now really. Its just the subject were talking about at the moment, and i'm happy as a prestige 0 until they actually bring something out worth my time and effort. Bottom line it doesn't effect the game at large in no real way outside of the personal challenge.
be lucky you didnt witness older prestige system i build my way up to 100 and it was pain all the time start over and over again with no gear and only free hunter but it was fun at least and challenging with no unlocks
