New Game Chat is disappointing

While it's nice to chat after death and across distances, it really takes away the realism and tough gameplay of hunt. I feel this is turning the game into every other shooter, and that is really saddening.

It's just leveling the playing field somewhat. People have used Discord in this manner since Hunt was made public and it is a big advantage.

I get that it levels the playing field a bit. Just miss the surrealism of the chat before. I still need to test a few more times to see if I can hear enemies. Talking to enemy teams, making deals and such, was one of the best parts of the hunt player base.

there is team chat/voice and world chat/voice. And if you world voice then your team for some reason doesn't hear you. Unless they fixed that.

i think the issue is that the keys are changed, so now people don't even know to talk in world. I miss the conversations. I haven't heard one since the change.

IMO, the fix for competing with a discord team is form your own.

I like the new change since I only play with randoms, sure the team vs team trash talking could be fun but playing with randoms and having an immediate handicap to teams hiding away on discord was annoying. If people didn't circumvent the game mechanic for an advantage then they wouldn't have needed to do this in the first place.

What I don't understand is why you can voice chat while dead but not text chat, or if you can if someone can share the secret cause I can't get it to let me nor have I seen anyone do it yet.

I can understand the leveling of the playing field. And I am growing to like the voice chat, now knowing I can still talk with other teams. I am still not a fan of talking while dead. Even if it is leveling the discord chat playing field.

Previously, in the old version, this chat would have made sense, but in the new hunt, everyone simply leaves the game after death
