Too Many Time Gated Events
I feel like so many of these events put way too much pressure to complete them because they're for a limited time only. So much so, that if I'm busy for a week or so, it almost feels like it's not worth investing my time into the event because I'm not going to be able to finish it anyway, and I'd rather just play for fun without the pressure, or burning myself out trying to finish a time gated quest/event.

It also feels like such a waste of developer resources to create these events and quests that just disappear from the game after a few weeks.

If these questlines and character unlocks were permanent (some time gated ones are good) we could work towards them at our own pace and without the stress, and we'd have more content/quests to complete.

One possible way to include past event quest-lines on a permanent basis is you could keep the past events up as permanent questlines, but maybe increase the difficulty and amount of quests after the event ends (and maybe a delay between the event questline and when the permanent one becomes available). That way players would still be able to unlock the Hunter/Skins, but still make it feel like the event is time gated, because it will be easier to unlock during the event, and maybe not even available for a while if you don't complete it in time.

Additionally, I'd love to have more permanent quest-lines available that I could be completing while I play, all the time. There could be new unique skin unlocks for every weapon with a questline to unlock each one, and I would absolutely love it. EX: Golden Sparks Unlock - 4 Tiered Questline, ending with "100 Headshots with the weapon" quest that unlocks the Golden Skin. It would take a long time and add a prestigiousness to every weapon, as well as permanent quests that players could complete at their leisure and when they'll enjoy doing a quest, instead of being "forced" to do it right now when maybe they want to play some other way.

Love the game, by the way. I know I've communicated that before, but no one gets tired of hearing that haha

30 days is plenty of time to complete the questline, and gating them does indeed place slight pressure to complete; that's also what creates the feel-good in knowing you earned something that was available for limited time.

I think you misunderstood my message.
Time gated events with in-game aesthetic changes (Inferno, Serpent Moon, Ect.) quest-lines, and unique skin unlocks are a good thing.
What I'm saying is that these are the ONLY quests available (other than Billy) to players, and that we need more permanent quests and unlock paths that are there all the time, and that some developers resources are being wasted on these limited time events, because that's a lot of work for something that disappears after a few weeks and players no longer have access to.

Too many limited time quests. Not enough permanent ones.

I fully understood what you said and my first reply still stands. The game is unable to accommodate your schedule by the looks of it, despite its one month long standing.

If the R.O.I for these events was such that it wasn't worth doing, either for the long or short term, then it wouldn't happen at all.

The whole idea behind the quests was to have them limited, Brings more people into the game at that time.

Again, those are great and fun, but I want some more permanent quests other than Billy Story. A "Quest-Line" for each gun that unlocks a special skin for it. Quest Lines for more Hunter Skins that are unlockable as a reward for doing certain things in the game. These time gated ones I'm having trouble completing and I'd like some I can work on at my leisure in addition to the events

The limited time aspect is what drives the player engagement.

Exactly, player engagement. And with more permanent quests, I'd be engaged longer with more things to do

Just play the game to enjoy the game, forget about quests.

I want quests. They're enjoyable to me

I don't know what they could do differently though as the game itself is pretty bland and literally PvP is the only thing that keeps me interested after 2000+ hours.
This is why I'd like more permanent quests. It wouldn't change the game in any way, but give those "end game" players something to work on in the long term. Example: 100 Headshots with a weapon unlocks a prestigious skin (at 1250 hours I think I'm somewhere around 3000 kills. So an achievement such as "100 headshots with a specific weapon" would take quite a while to finish (especially for them all, including every variant).
Another idea would be progressive upgrades and cosmetic unlocks to the hunter skins you use. Three tiered quest line ending with something like: 500 Headshots with this character, unlocks the final skin for that hunter.
Especially with the rate of new hunters and weapons, it would be near impossible to complete them as fast as they come out, which would give even the most hardcore players more quests than they could actually accomplish, so there'd always be something to "do" for the players that are looking for that kind of thing

Meanwhile, Dead by Daylight by comparison allows player to complete event quests and trials from every season since the first one. If your game needs FOMO to drive player engagement, it should be a clear warning sign that something in your game isn't working right.
