I don't play the game much anymore since beta, but in other games I play region matters more so than MMR... Because if MMR becomes too strict, you may never get a full game with equally matches opponents?
I like the Starcraft leagues and Rocket League has a similar system with each league having tears etc. In Hunt it will be harder, if say, they do it the way you recommend than if a 4 star player is killed by a 3 star player and drop of to 3 straight away then it will unbalance the game as their core skills are still above those of the 3 star player, so there should be an overall skill metric in addition to you basic MMR taking into account K/D, average performance, hours played etc. I mean, in hunt even a one star player can kill a 6 star player with a lucky shot and it will be unfair to the 6 star player to immediately drop stars, and it will also be unfair to the teams against whom that player will play next as his skillset is much better. For example, my MMR varies from 4 to 5, I mean it is mainly 4, than I'd kill random 5 or 6 and my mmr increases immediately.
but every time I get into 5s with my mates (and I only play teams with them and we are casual players) we are being destroyed, every time we play with teams that have similar mmr range, a mix of 4s and 3s (my mates are in 3-4 range) we are most of the time having good games, be that win or lose (pretty much same ratio), but the game becomes enjoyable and shootouts are fun and engaging, instead of being headshot from 100 metres away through a tiny hole in a wall.
As a 1 1/2 * MMR Player i get always solo Matches with teams of - 4-5 * Teams.
That is so LOL that it should be a shame for all people or Players saying dont cry.
Its a fantastic game but your opponents skill decide the end of the matches.
I even killed 1, -6* with that "lucky shot" u say before, its possible but it should not be the normal way to get into matches if ur buttom skillbased is activated.
U have not a great chance to win a match (ok that shouldn´t be the problem) but the fun in shootouts are not given, cause a 5* Player always headshots u if ur shoot failed, if not u loose the fight cause of rather map knowledge.
Where is the fun in it? Drop waste weapons for 5* 10kDollars?
dont know how long new Players should be longer faster Grunts for higher MMR Players i belong to?
We need a change
If u prepare any changes, pls even get a skillbased buttom activating for singleplayer, the fun there get the wellspring is just badlier. Here are 90 % 5-6 * and the rest are me with my hard fighted 1 1/2 and a guy outta the afk - Land with 2 * .
Let me know i will play further.
TY
As a solo the system drops me 1 / 1.5 stars, so it puts me against teams 1/2 stars below my real rating. So Im always stuck at the same ELO because I gain very little elo when I earn 2/3 kills against people 2 stars beneath me, and then if I die just once, I lose all that I had gained.
I've been stuck at the exact threshold between 3 and 4 stars for ages now, despite having gone +35 kills in the last few weeks.
I want to play against trio around my ELO, not trios 400 points lower where every mistake I made causes me to lose elo two-fold.
