I implore anyone who truly believes ping abuse is a major issue to record 5 games on a region where their ping is over 150 and post the full unedited footage for us to view. They never do, because they know they're wrong.
Blaming ping abuse is a crutch and often thinly veiled xenophobia (intense distrust or fear or people from outside of your culture or country)
I found the troll!
Imagine being so sure in being wrong!
Amazing! XD
The moment you know how to move using that "rubberband", you're abusing the ping to your advantatge, and it's something a lot of people does by moving to servers they should no be even able to get in to begin with.
Let´s say you´re right about that: high ping players don´t get an advantage because they suffer even more than their "victims". I´d argue it doesn´t matter if the high pingers are having a bad time. They still change the firefights from intuitive to jank. I don´t want to die behind cover because the opponent´s shots register with a delay. I dont want to have to think: these bullets actually hit me before I got behind cover so I was already dead before getting behind cover actually so it´s all fair. This is not an acceptable online FPS experience in 2025.
We need to add: If they really do not get any advantatge whatsoever, why go to a different server where they will have a severe disadvantatge instead of remaining in their own so they can play normally?
Answer: Because high ping gives them advantatge once they know how to move while having huge ping.
You won’t record high ping games, because you’re afraid I might be right.
Instead of theory crafting, go prove it. I played on highping most of my life because my connection was never good until recently. There is absolutely zero advantage in high ping.
What do you understand by "High Ping"? Because we are not talking about 100-120ms, we are talking about having up to 250 ms of difference, also, I would understand it coming from where we come, that some connections where how they where, but here we are talking about having a dedicated server specifically for you and instead go play on another one that it's a descomunal amount of KM far away only to abuse the system because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of crytek think that having 250ms it's "a good ping" these days.
Also: "Player Count", of course they have a low player count on their server, they are all here bothering the ♥♥♥♥ out of us. One thing it's finding one, maybe 2 russians every 2 or 3 matches maybe, but they are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ plague, there's not a single game without someone with name written in russian.
On being on a server they know they will have high latency, therefore advantatge if they know how to abuse said latency. They have a server dedicated exclusively to them for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason, it has no sense they go to another one because "Why not?"
The simple fact of being on a server that doesn't belong to your region can be considered ping abuse due to the responses sent to the server, if you're playing on a server that it's 6 times far away from the one you should be playing and on top of that, you add a normal internet connection, you can end up playing at 200ms instead of 90, therefore the data you send to the server it's completely different from the ones playing it normally, so something that should have been a miss ends up being a hit due to the late registration caused by high ping.
Or you're gonna tell me that all those kills behind a rock are because the bullet decided to do a curve full Crivillé style in order to hit you in the head despite being covered?
When we talk about "ping abuse" it's because of that, on how due to the high ping they have they are getting kills that, with a normal latency, would have been a miss.
ping restriction is 150. if you or someone you team with has higher ping, you are placed into a "high ping" lobby against other people with the same issue. the devs have also stated they will not be region locking the game as its easy to get around it with a VPN and would hinder people who arent trying to abuse ping to simply play with their friends (i.e., an american playing with two people in EU or vice-versa)
Then they only need to do one thing, allow people to report others because they are using a VPN, and once it's proven true, permaban. Plain and simple. Also, the ping limit it's 250, or atleast it's what they stated the last time they talked about that.
Your eloquence is very interesting. Can you team up with me? I want to record your gaming level, I can take you to the high ping area. Then, you demonstrate to me how the high PING advantage can be achieved, and I will record it on video. Concurrently on the Chinese Internet, I will tell them that they are cheating and condemn this behavior.
The premise is that you must provide the possibility of cheating implementation, so I will record a video.
