Opinion on the Bornhein No.3 series?

I like the Bornheims; interesting, fun to shoot and very accurate. But expensive compared to other options that are better such as the Caldwell Pax, Conversion, or Uppercut.

What the Bornheim truly NEEDS is to be worked with Bulletgrubber as top up reloads as of now permanently lose bullets, and make that two bullets lost if dual wielded as a pair. Plus for a Compact ammo category gun, it certainly doesn’t help that it has a very low reserve ammo pool.

What are your thoughts on the Bornheim No.3 series?

Bulletgrubber does work with bornheims..

As always it was a good little gun, people cried about it so it got nerfed to the ground with huge price increase, damage nerf and ammo pool nerf. Also, it actually does work with bulletgrubber but not when dual wielding. Funnily enough all the nerfs never really addressed its real strength which was it being the fast firing finishing gun. Perfect to carry alongside a sparks. They only reason you dont see it often is that theres no point to buy it when you can get an Uppercut for almost similar price.

You can buy the nagant officer which performs the in the same manner although with longer reload time and a little less fire speed. But it is cheaper.

The Nagant Officer is honestly a great revolver and the Brawler variant with built-in Duster is even better as it serves two weapons in one. And gotta love the Nagant Silencer as it’s a great and highly versatile weapon that is highly useful throughout the game.

I should give the Bornheim a try as a single piece with Bulletgrubber. I’m one for pistol pairs; especially Silenced Nagants, dual Paxes, dual Uppercuts, and so on. Also don’t forget the LeMat Mk. II; is a great revolver too either as a single piece or in pairs. :-)

I think Bulletgrubber should work with dual Borheims IMO as they been nerfed enough as it is. Ambidextrous works with dual Bornheims so should the Bulletgrubber. Next game I play, I’ll take a single Bornheim with me along with Bulletgrubber and put it to the test. I’ll let y’all know one way or another if it works or not.

CONFIRMED: Bulletgrubber does work fine with a single Bornheim. Now for Bornheim duals / pairs; Bulletgrubber should work IF the Ambidextrous trait is also present in any given Hunter's chosen Traits.

To offset the low reserve ammo pool of the Borheim pistols is to pair them with another Compact ammo firearm such as the Winfield 1873/1873C series rifles. :-)

I use Bornhein when I don't have dolch contrabands anymore and combine it with my Crossbow.

Which made it pretty niche and skill demanding. It's great for headshotting from ambush, it's great for finishing, but it's bad for push. I remember times, when almost all long ammo men had bornheim and pushed with it, cause it had two shot torso kill and lot of ammo. And it was awful. Nerf was neccessary.

what ? bornheim is fine its a worse cheaper dolch. there is no need for a buff or a nerf.
and bulletgrubber did always work with it dont know why there was a need for a "CONFIRMED" Posting of yours.
The Only minor point you could have would be the Standard Bornheim has a too small magazine but thats what the extended version is for.

Used to be better before the damage balancing and price increasing, right now almost none use it.

A good gun that requires some trigger discipline to work. Never dualwield it though. Clip reloading is it's best feature
