When do we get uppercut nerf?
6 stars speaking here so listen to me folks.
Price change did not change anything since 6 stars players can make enough money to keep buying uppercut. I encounter uppercut every game, usually even more and it gets tiresome. Noone is using compact, medium ammo rifles or pistols since uppercut fits both of these roles far better. Sure, its not the fastest gun but 6 stars usually hit everything so that doesnt matter. Uppercut deserve some kind of damage rebalance.

Why would a damage change help at high level play? Do high skill players not go for headshots?
Silva Jan 17, 2023 @ 1:05pm
Just limit money to 15k or something, so each time people bring top tier gear with long ammo etc, it cuts 10% or so of their funds. This would force them to alternate between cheap and expensive gear, or go bankrupt.

An Uppercut plus Crown & King combo is more than 1k and we didn't even add tools and consumables yet. This should FEEL costly but doesn't right now, because the game let's people cumulate money by the hundred thousands, making the economy pointless and buying top tier guns trivial.

with long ammo meta then no not always. Due to the insane high damage of long ammo and the great penetration I die more to double taps from uppers than anything else. Pretty common to die like this: 50+ meter chest shot -> run for cover -> die behind wooden house by a pen shot. Its what makes long so insanely good.
The uppercut is basically just an improved version a vetterli in my view and given its 1 slot only makes it a no brainer. I use it every chance I get and its my most used weapon.

Never. It's fine as it is.

but if someone was really good why wouldn't they just headshot you instead?

you want the most iconic weapon in the game to be nerfed even tho it needs no nerf

seems like a skill issue

Still waiting on that 6* screenshot pal.

Speaking as a 9 star, there won't be an uppercut nerf, I suggest dealing with it.

No, because this will just incentivize camping inside with a shotgun even more. The reason most camp inside is because of the argument that "I can't fight back at range!" Screwing the Uppercut for shotgun users will only make them even more reluctant to come out, peek, or do anything other than pop a squat inside for 20-30 minutes.

If you take away their ability to fight a more ranged battle with their sidearm, they'll just sit inside stalling even more.

People need to do well to stack that money. Punishing people for doing well won't be happening. Worry about your own load-out and I'll worry about mine.

Any change will buff the camping. Whiners often forgets, that their beloved camping outside tactic is camping too.

Yet another post by this guy, who is confirmed to be in 4 star, complains about every single thing in the game on a daily / weekly basis, this time its about the uppercut.

Uppercut is a revolver that costs more than most rifles, has almost an equal fire rate and cannot be quickswapped to, its balanced fine as it is.

If you want to change anything, make it less expensive.

"Camping outside". Where you can have someone come up behind you and shoot you at any time? Where you can have someone snipe you that you didn't notice? That the team outside can fight back and peek and shoot you with their sidearm?

At least those "camping outside" take some risk or getting killed.

whats the point of pistols being longrange weapons? i dont get the concept.

i mean i use them for sure because shotgun + uppercut is broken as ♥♥♥♥ and good for every situation. But i surely would prefer if pistols would be for close to midrange only.

"broken".........what exactly is "broken" about it? It's been nerfed a bunch of times with the latest one making it the price of a rifle. It's fine where it is.

To cover a weakness you may have. Same reason to bring a secondary that has a high RoF when you bring a long range rifle, that or a sawed off shotgun if you have quartermaster.

What baffles me are shotgun players who bring a pistol... and just refuse to even attempt to use it. They act like they don't even have it or it's "useless" when their opponent is within 100 meters. There was a good reason they recently bumped up the effective range of all ammo types. It was in effort to get people to stop camping inside and fight back at ranges.
