Hunt: Showdown 1896

Does the Uppercut need looked at?
I just don't understand how people aren't talking about this gun more.

- Extends ammo reserves of the already hands-down best guns in the game
- Insane muzzle velocity (Literally on par with a Vetterli)
- Reload speed is only 2 seconds slower than other similar revolvers (Namely the Pax)
- Can be dual wielded to extend ammo reserves of the already best guns in the game EVEN FURTHER
- Almost a 100m range
- Only 1 slot, thus can be ran in any loadout.

I guess the downside is it costs 275? The recoil is easy to manage, and its got some really clean iron sights. Like, what's the trade-off here? When you run a mosin, you run the downside of losing ammo on early reloads without bulletgrubber. You run a winfield? It's downside is its low range from being compact ammo. Like, most guns have a downside to running them without dipping into perks or using special ammo, but I just don't see it with the Uppercut.

Not to mention, this is pretty much THE only secondary I ever see people running once you get into 5/6 star ELO. People want to run slug shotguns? Uppercut can cover the range because it's a 1 slot rifle basically, so they run it. Want to run the typical mosin/lebel? Well, might as well extend those ammo reserves while also having an extremely good secondary on backup. You even look at "off-meta" builds and people will still run Uppercut with their crossbows or whatever, because it's literally that easy to just throw into any loadout.

I personally don't think it needs to be nerfed stat-wise. I think it needs to be a 2 slot. That, or there needs to be some ammo stacking nerf for rifle ammo. I just feel like people running around with these long rifles should have to be more precise. That should literally be the tradeoff, but it isn't anymore when you can just throw on a Uppercut and have like 20 shots in reserves alongside bulletgrubber.

Thoughts?

Imagine if you didn't have the uppercut. If you had no option to bridge the gap when you bring a shotgun, no way to compete with the multitude of snipers that I'm sure you see in 5/6 star.

Uppercut's damage should be nerfed to 124 so it wouldn't be able to oneshot downed players in one hit. There is pretty much no reason for you to not play uppercut unless you try to dual wield pistols.
Wanna ez kills on downed players? Well, tru to use mediem or long sized guns

THIS would be all it needs really, I hate how long ammo is the best in every respect, but that isn't going to change as they want to give an advantage to people who farm money, but it's main strength, and what makes the uppercut way to much for a pistol is it's potential to 1 tap if you aren't at 100% health.

This means that you can never afford to be even 25 health down, and it allows cheesy stuff like taking a shotgun to just about graze somebody, leaving them open to just 1 shot. It also means if you don't hit the upper body you're more likely to still double tap while other pistols might end up need a 3 tap.

Ye the Conversion FMJ is a nice cheap alternative, but its last of a consistent 2 tap potential and lower muzzle velocity still makes it inferior. You'll notice that though, people will try to focus just on damage and how "most guns can 2 tap", and will try to ignore how effective range increases the range at which full damage is done, and how muzzle velocity stops you need to lead from as far away.
