i played ~60hrs past 2 weeks of hunt, am working and imo i played excessively to get the doctor skin, am at 1.4k now and basically guaranteed to not get it anymore, thanks crytek for your grindfest

Like, I (and many others) have posted the way to efficiently farm event points and people have literally replied saying they refuse to alter their playstyle to gain event points efficiently - people think they're going to get 2k points simply by charging the boss every game. They're not.

I am not OP, but if you guys, want to say something and disagree with OP, don't spew "you idiots I am the clevest guy I, have grinded 6000 points in two hours, though I have eleven kids and two wifes and work on two jobs". List your numbers. How many days you grinded, how many time per day you played, what was your main playing style - either way you a troll.

Even though you are good and make 30-40 points ON AVERAGE each game - you take 50-75 hours of non-stop playing for that

I'm not sure what you're asking here. I didn't keep an excel spreadsheet log of the exact time it took me to get to 2k points.

But, for the 108295125th time: Equip a silenced weapon and a hand crossbow with poison bolts. GO IN SOLO with trios enabled, run around the grayed out sections of the map and avoid the bounty/PVP. Hunt for crows (kill them with poison crossbow), shoot far away effigies with your silenced weapon (can also use it to clear mobs out of compounds semi-silently). Go from compound to compound farming the little crow effigies and killing crows as you go. I did this (before they increased the effigy spawns) and was averaging 60-70+ points per game, with the occasional 100 point game when there is a long standoff for the bounty(ies). I hit the point cap every day and unlocked the plague doctor day 5 using this strategy. And they've significantly increased the effigy spawn, so you could probably average 80-90 points per game this way. Also I didn't use any reliquaries (and you shouldn't either, unless you just want to support the developers).

If you're unwilling to do the above, that's fine, but STOP making threads like this crying about the event point requirement. We are weeks into the event (AND THEY EVEN EXTENDED IT) and the people that actually wanted the rewards have been done for a long time. If anything, this event was too easy.

If you disagree, that's fine, but I'm not a troll for knowing how to play the game/event. Good luck.

If on the next event they introduce quests like: "Kill 3 enemies on a match", "Kill 2 enemies with duals" etc. People will complain because some of them are to hard; "not all people are pros who can expend X time on this game".

Doesn't care the game, the event, the season pass, people will complain, rage and cry.

I bought the game on 7th april. I've played 40 hours and I've reached 1K event points without farming it. A month is enought time to complete the 2K points.

I think a lot of guys, like me, stopped playing for the event already from beginning CAUSE WE CAN CALCULATE and we were not ready to spend 75 hours farming empty areas for stupid hunt points but - congrats to everyone taking it to the extension *bravo*

To be honest, you've done something wrong.
I haven't played 60 hours not even 20 hours this week and I have nearly 1K over the needed limit.
Maybe you should look more carefully, I leave many compounds with at least 5 to 10 points even if hunter have been there.

I was talking to the OP, which seems evident, since my response doesn´t really make sense if I were responding to you. And if you would "farm" for 75 hours instead of 60 like the OP says, you would only need to get 26,6 points per hour, AKA you would not be farming at all, because if you don´t straight up ignore the event completely, you will get those points per any match where you don´t die immediately.

And yes, I did enjoy the event just fine, thanks.

You can finish the event in around 20 hours, idk where you got 75 from. Either way, you made the decision to give up.

They got greedy. The first was Halloween. Wormwood let people stack up to 300% and so they blew through the event in no time. Ever since then they've been cutting the ability to gain stacks like the Halloween event. Now they realized people will pay small amounts of BB for a booster and then went way to overboard with this event and got too greedy overall. Next event, no micro transactions in a full priced game, keep boosters but have them be 100 BB instead of $10USD, so it's realistic but you can also run out if not managed correctly.

People liked getting 100-300 points a match with those boosters and took all that out for a HUGE amount of grind. It was a solely greed based tactic and it's pretty disgusting considering how much DLC and micro transactions are already in a $40 game that's seen little development.
