How do I set an avatar?

Everybody just has a question mark but very rarely I see someone with an avatar.

You need to upgrade your steam profile, and not make it private.

So 99% of players have steam profile on private?

The "hide statistics" setting also hides the steam profile. But you CAN see others avatars when having it enabled unlick the stats.

To the right on your profile page is the "Edit profile" button. You can change stuff there, including avatars.

I know how to set a steam avatar, I set it know but that still does not answer my question why 99% of hunt players I see do just have a question mark? Do they all not set their steam avatars or have profiles on private? The "hide statistics" probably also hides it so I guess for multiple reasons its very rare that I see one. I was just curious.

Probably game not loading avatars on first try? I remember I played with 2 people and neither of them had an avatar, but next time I got matched with one of them he did have an avatar. He actually had an avatar even the first time we played, so I think game might not be loading avatars for some reason.
