What is server tickrate?
30HZ, 60HZ, 120HZ? It fells like 30-ish or even less.

Last I heard, they downgraded after patch 1.4 to 30HZ from 60 HZ cause they needed Hunt to make more money so they could funnel it into trying to revive Crysis again.

And that glorious Crysis remaster that looked worse than original obviously failed lol

So could that be a reason why hitreg felt so bad lately? Any official statement regarding that? There's a lot of "I heard this" and "I heard that". :-)

iceman said the dev team is looking into the issue, specifically after the 1.4.8 patch. That's it.

Tickrate is -30hz XD Download Wire-Shark and test it for yourself (it's about 30-40 with dips all over then place, it's not even steady 30), their server provider is amazingly bad and was used by only one game ever, and that game is Black Desert Online. They had huge problems within the game and 80% of them were fixed when they changed server provider. You can google that if you don't belive me.

So yep, this game will never get properlly fixed cause a lot of problems are server sided, and other half is client sided or should I say dev sided, but since they are not competent enough to implement anythint without having 2000 bugs with that same update, you get the point.

Every patch includes 50 new bugs which should not be there in the first place, then they focus on fixing those, while the old ones stay in place. Thats why we have a game that plays like somebody is chopping your screen with axe.

Sluggish, laggy, rubberbanding game with worst collision model ever, with textures that look like somebody pooped their pants..

I don't need to go further.

Interesting! Some valid points there even if I don't agree with everything you wrote.

Never thought about checking with Wireshark.

Would be nice if they could give us some more info on the server status. Have there been any more downgrades done besides tickrate? Perhaps upgrades? When did they change it and why? Agreement with the provider related to bandwidth, routing, hardware, more instances of servers crammed into the hosts. If playerbase is picking up they should be able to scale up accordingly.

It's a tricky question. I understand everything comes down to money. More money means more resources equals a better gaming experience for us users. Should they source it back to on-premise/in house managing. What are the long term plans here? Having everything running in the cloud could be very expensive, but so is managing your own infrastructure/hardware if you count all the costs related to service, support and replacement etc. Locally hosted private/public servers could be a solution here perhaps? That would also mean private lobbys which I've seen been requested a couple of times.

IF they took money from Hunt, let's say by decreasing the costs of their cloud agreement to put into Crysis: Remastered then I would say Im a bit dissapointed at them to be honest. But let's hope that's not the case here.

They are currently looking into the suttering issues with etwtraces and others but as I've come to understand they claim that these stuttering issues are not server sided. (don't quote me on that though, heard Ic3man2k talk about it on his stream)

Try to ask support what tick rate is. I asked them many times before testing it myself. Their answer was plain and simple: "We are not allowed to share that info"

You wonder why? Cause they know it's below multiplayer fps games standards. Sad but true my friend. Even older games from 2000's had better quality servers

When you run towards crows and come to close but stop running.. they start to fly 1.5 sec (not msec) after you stopped... and many things in this game take this period of 1.5 sec... just to think about..

Zombies have been running past me just to turn around and then hit me from behind.

I dunno .. just me? They used to just run up to me and kick my ass. It seems that the server location registrations are all off.

Yeah I think that's the same issue... they are always behind. So annoying sometimes, when you have to wait until they finally really reach you so you can knock them off
