Stutter/Lag with gunfights
Everything runs smoothly on this game for me except when I get in gunfights. Every time me or the person i'm fighting shoots, my game lags for like a quick second. This almost always gets me killed and really is ruining this game for me. Almost all my settings are on low apart from a couple. Does anyone know what is causing this?

I think Soul Survivor would be a better test.

I find I get better performance in SS than in Bounty Hunt and seen other users state the same also on Discord, Facebook & Reddit

Happens in both normal play and soul survivor.

Please, before you answering me take a short moment and start thinking. Eventually would I test something to help troubleshooting on a level were you arent educated enough.

To analyse the problem its important to understand if the issue is also present in local, because when the issue also happens in local is it a loading spike which is depended to the computer. When this issue just happens online is it server depended. Thats how professionals analyses issues.

Ok, then its depended to your computer.

A few things you can do:
When you got an SSD installed in your computer then install the game there.
When you got just a HDD, defrag it. (Do it overnight! Can take a long time when the PC is slow and HDD has much space)

Configure your Swap file to the double of the amount you got RAM installed.
https://recoverhdd.com/blog/swap-file-in-windows.html
This helps your computer to load more data as your ram can hold. Its not as fast as when your RAM holds the whole data, but its significant faster as to reprocess all data during runtime and store them to the RAM.

Here are also a few things which can help:

If you are going to mess with your paging file sizes to things other than what Windows does automatically make sure you know what you are doing is all I can say. It can lead to issues including preventing your system from booting. This has been the case since Windows 95.

Lighting is very CPU intensie in Cryengine. Muzzle flashes are dynamic light sources which require a lot of CPU horsepower.

Check that you have a good CPU. I find the recommended hardware to be an outright lie. An 8700 is NOT enough to run this game at smooth frametimes at all! I know, because with an 8700k I could not handle that game and had massive frame drops all the time, when lighting in a scene changed.
