GPU for Hunt?
i'd like to switch to a better gpu to improve fps cause i have 90 fps with native resolution 1920x1080 and 110 only if i downgrade it to 1600x1050
my budget is 200 dollars.
my current gpu is a 1660 super, cpu ryzen 5 5600. a friend told me that switching to an amd graphics card hunt would definetly work better. if that's so what gpu do you recommend?

I would hesitate to buy a new GPU just for Hunt as my friend who has a a 7700XT 12GB card struggles to get 100FPS on high graphics, even RatchaZ on his streams has had to lower his settings to low in order to get 180FPS and he has a 24GB card. Hunt is not well optimised at all. Save your money.

I have an AMD RX 5700 XT and it works fine, around 120 or more most of the time on High to Medium at 1080p, so make sure to get something like a 6000 or 7000 series.

a used 3080 goes for 300 if ur willing to increase ur budget by a bit
As someone mentioned, CPU is the most important part. Without it even on high end GPUs you'l be dropping below 50 FPS on any resolution.

You shouldn´t buy an AMD card yet. Sh1ttek f1kced up with the optimisation on those and many players still can´t play the game.

Or stay on the safe side with Nvidia.

After the Update, the new engine works with the gpu. Cpu was the old engine.

They said that in an interview.

Now my cpu chills and my gpu is all over 100 % usage

Even NASA supercomputer still get FPS drop. So, idk what to recommend.

i have 7900xt with 7600x and get 200 fps at 1440p
you will still be bad at the game
i play 1440p 144 fps
5800x3d + 4070
all low graphics except some effects and textures

Yeah even with a top end rig like mine you will see FPS drops just fyi if that helps you in any way - 4090 trio x, 7800x3d, 7200mhz 32gb ram on a m.2 Samsung 990 Pro, 3440x1440 AW3423DWF OLED - Everything Ultra except Shadows on Very high and Fog on High and still get FPS drops here and there 135Hz custom resolution capped on 130FPS with LOW LATENCY MODE in Nvidia drivers, not really that bad but yeah drops are there.. Fog is MEGA fps killer idk why..

It's difficult to answer; as it currently stands DLSS is an earlier version in the game it's kinda bad, but this doesn't mean they will not implement a newer better version later.
The new version of DLSS is way better than any FSR from AMD. So I would probably stick with nVidia cards.

If you play other games as well, search for "GPU tier list" it will give you a good comparison but your 200 dollars are on the limit, I would save up more money and wait for the release of the new nVidia cards so the older models will be cheaper. Do not but anything older than a 3070.

i have a 3050 on paper very much the same performance as a 1660 super, my recomendation with that budget is to not buy nothing and hold off since most gpu ull be able to buy wont be much better.

save more money and buy something better down the line at least something with about double the power.

or buy used if u confortable with that, but even then a bit more budget wont hurt.

those frames are still perfectlly acceptable, it run better on hunts previous version but its ok.

also the implementation of dlss and fsr in hunt isnt very good, i dont think its very usable too much ghosting, and blur for me but maybe at higher res with some sharpning.
